After watching Norm Coleman show deference to the crotchety old curmudgeon Water Mundane, it reminded how tactful, witty, cogent, and just how utterly charming Reagan was in dispelling the claptrap demagoguery being peddled by the left.

I do think Coleman was very effective, but instead of just being gracious and allowing Mundane to wander off into walls, I would have like to see him assist Mundane in his journey back into the 1970’s and then yank the rug from under him.

Listening to Mundane revealed the democRAT’s strategy and their Achilles heel – Judicial Appointments. The mules know they are running out of steam and the best hope for getting power is now via the bench and suing for the office. There will be court battles waged by the mules if the election results show only less than a 10,000 vote spread because it is incomprehensible to them that they could lose.

DemocRATic operatives (read: lawyers) are already in place in Missouri, Florida, New Jersey, and Minnesota and will file suit within 24 hours of the polls closing if they are trailing by less than 10,000 votes. So much for the will of the people and the rule of law.

A master stroke from Coleman, he made Mondull look like a disrespectful old jerk(which he is) it was shades of Lloyd Bentsen v Dan Quayle, Mondull came off like a stuck up know it all, hopefully this opened the eyes of the electorate here and showed Mondull has no new ideas just the same old tired positions that garnered him a 49-1 state whipping by the Gipper.

Think about this, if both cadavers lose in MN and NJ what can the mules say? We didn’t put our best candidates forward, or we wanted to go with the name recognition since time was so short?

If both of these tired old windbags lose there is nothing that the mules can say. These two losses would truly be the death knell for the DNC.

It would be like Ronald Reagan not being able to win in California or any other state. Mondane and Lautencadaver epitomize the DNC and the message of the left.

These elections will be a referendum and if the mules cannot successfully sue for the seat, their days will be undeniably over. For the world will have aged past the point of swallowing FDR’s old class envy tactics and will force the left to reassess their stance on a number of issues.

On Thursday, I reminded you of Walter Mondale's admission in 1989 that he was too old and too yesterday to run for the Senate. On Friday, I brought you more of his words - including his latest negative campaign ad.

This from a man who said he wouldn't campaign at all out of respect for Paul Wellstone. I think his words are worth revisiting, because this is how we know where Mondull really stands. So I dug for Mondull quotes in Wall Street Journal alum Jeff Birnbaum's 1987 book: Showdown at Gucci Gulch.

Here's the important quote, made on stage at the 1984 Democratic National Convention in San Francisco to Congressman Dan "Rosty" Rostenkowski. In his speech, Mondale had famously said, "Mr. Reagan will raise taxes, and so will I. He won't tell you. I just did."

Rostenkowski whispered to Mondale after he stepped off the podium, "You've got a lot of balls, pal," and Mondale whispered back, as he gazed out at a sea of cheering Democrats, "Look at 'em. We're going to tax their *** off." This is Walter Mondale, as reported in a well-respected book, by a heavy-hitting Democrat congressman. Now, there's still time for Mr. Mondale to be asked about this on the campaign trail in Minnesota. Will the press step up to the challenge?

There's still time for Mr. Rostenkowski to be asked about this. There's still time for the denials. There's still time to check with Rosty, and to go to the videotape of the convention and see if CNN can read the lips off the Born to Loser candidate.

There's still time for James Carville to spin out of this for Mondull on Crossfire. Of course, I know what James would say - and you can hear me as him saying it by clicking the large head to the right.
