Here's to hoping a worthy GOP candidate de-thrones the current socialist-in-chief.

Straw-poll shows Ron Paul as the winner (30 %)?! I am baffled - putting it mildly...
I was - however - very impressed with the keynote speech by (R) Rep. Allen West, FL.

Howz about we get rid of John Boehner? This guy is weak tea. He's about as interesting as watching grass grow.
He's too conciliatory, doesn't want to make waves, just the kind of conservative we DON'T need.
What say you?
...we really don't have any say about who the members of Congress
elect as their leader, which (as Speaker) Boehner is.
He's done a decent job not becoming a "lightning rod" as Gingrich
became in '95-'98, while holding his ground on spending policies from
the Bozobama crowd.

Boring ? Perhaps you've forgotten Dennis Hastert.
For now, I'm OK with Speaker Boehner...
Valid points, all - lightnin'... I could do without the "emotions", though

Of course you are right Lightnin' ...
I'm not saying Boehner is not a decent man, just that he's not a great leader.. he doesn't have the fire in his belly.
I hope we see more inspired leaders arise.

I see West as having much more national potential than either Alan Keyes or Ron Paul;
long term-as much as Sarah Palin.
In the meantime, I see West as a BIG TIME fund raiser and opinion leader
for conservatives nationally.
I can't see him as a player for national office 'til '20; getting executive experience as
a Governor would really be a plus...
I agree to all - not to forget rhetorical charisma !
BTW - what's with Ron Paul as the leading contender for 2012 - I am irritated...
