Hmmm... I rarely watch TV but.. I just switched off my computer, took out my XXL-mag switched on MTV but they showed some ****ty popmusic so I switched to VIVA (a german music channel) and saw this commercial for bowling for columbine.. and switched to Sat1 and saw this reporter talking against Bush.. and simply zapped through all my tv-programs.. CNN, RTL, PRO7, VOX..etc.. and I remarked (as they were all showin news) something:

they all talk ****.

They talk **** about Bush.. (I mean I do have my problems with that person but these guys were so unfactual and dissin him like they were some rappers) about America (they were showin stuff about how dumb Americas folk is.) about Rumsfeld..etc.

And for the first time actually I remarked what you guys and Aaron are talking about.
I started to listen to this report about America and President Bush and they were actually more busy makin fun of him being from Texas (tellin there were no trees so Texans can't hang black people anymore  ) and it was such BS that made me realise I did something wrong.

So I decided to go online and look at a few pages people gave me links to. And again I remarked a very Anti-America smell in each single report they wrote about this whole Iraq-conflict.

Anyway then I looked at the German Conservatives Homepage.. :/

They wrote actually much insults against the cancellor but besides that they explained their reasons to support the US and I saw they have a point.

So from now on you won't hear me sayin I am against it anymore.

I think I realised something very interesting. I'm gonna have to do some talking... :/

Kate.

DAMN I just found this on http://www.cdu.de (the German christian conservatives - Party's HP) THe SPD (current party) owns proportions on over 70 newspapers (incl. bout 30 dailynewspapers, 40 marketingpapers, 5 magazines that come out each week) complete edition of 8 Million copies. They have participation on 3 TV-production companies and 18 Radiochannels with over 7,5 Millions of listeners (status: 1. September 2002).
If you look at that you could consider them as a real media company (kinda)
And actually the media should be the forth power controling the parties and not the other way round.

WEll but let me be Trinity and not Neo then..

but look at that numbers damnit.. I'm not wondering about why the majority of these Germans are against Bush. I mean.. they all read those newspapers..and if not then they at least watch TV! And there we go.. full of propaganda.. I mean..how often do they wanna show that cartoon about America? In the movie I considered it as funny but lookin closer it's been used to make people laugh about americans and think they're nuts. (not just gun-nuts)

Holy s.... either I really never watched TV so often to remark it or I was blind.

</font>
Hi Kate,

The problem with reading the papers, watching news or listening to the radio is that they cater popular views to get better ratings!! At the moment the average european is opposing the war until a UN decision is made, therefore the media will jump on that bandwagon.

Fact, every party , country etc spins there own Propaganda!!

For me, i hate the media ever since the Hillsborough disaster(here i go ago) , so therefore i do my own research!!
