New Egg is COOL. However, the annoying thing about them is that they charge per item, intead of a lump shipping sum. That is the only thing you really need to watch out for.

One reason they do that is the markup on computer parts is very tiny. So they can't give away too much shipping costs.

Sometimes you'll get a bulk rate if you are buying a combo. I have bought tons of stuff from them and the shipping has always been resonable. Also what I love about NEWEGG, besides the fact that they have a warehouse now in New Jersey for faster shipping, but at least for me being on the EAST Coast, I can put my order in before they open and have what normally would take an additional day or 2 to ship I can get it shipped same day at the same price as longer shipping rates...

So I can get my order faster.

Plus FEDEX you can buy regular ground shipping and if it's earlier enough in the day they will just throw it on a plane, unlike UPS will actually truck the package across the country from Cali to NY which can take almost 2 weeks...

www.mwave.com is another good company that is in the same town as NewEgg

Yeah I know. My friend who deals with computer systems and such told me roughly about the shipping system. He said there was also a similarity for Fedex 3-day and 2-day.(I think it was those two.) He said go for the faster one, because it's the same price as the slower one anyway.

But yes, New Egg is quite cool. Wonderful customer service they have.

Fedex ground ships the same speed at Fedex 2day, but with groud you have to box the item up yourself in a cardboard box, but it's cheaper than regular Fedex.

If you don't want to pay for security software, Kim Komando has some good links to online freeware firewalls, anti spyware etc... I've installed some of this on my mother in law's computer and it works.

Trend Micro's online spyware scan both scans and removes/fixes the problem. Pretty good for free.
