Well I look at this.
Yes, for a moment I felt all the burning anger feelings about this. I even felt dispirited and depressed.
Then amazingly I felt happy.
You may ask why I'm looking forward to this Presidency.
No I haven't swallowed Kool-Aid and no I haven't ingested the magic fairydust that farts out of "The One".
It's just for once it can't be blamed on Bush. Eventually they will all start a bunch of infighting. Think the Democrat party is all hunky dory kumbayah?
No.
However, I am at this point I will freaking roll up my sleeves and start working from the ground up. I believe in our principles of limited government, respect of the people of America, standing our ground, and never mistaking the argument is ever over.
We made that mistake as a party. I will make sure on my part that it never happens again. We must start local, and be more active. A lot of people become mewlish and simpering about government... and I think that's what cost us this election. We had a wizened GOP that picked a man that was "bipartisan" and "inoffensive". Screw that.
It's not that we have expectations of our leaders that is bad. But we think in each of us that someone can "fix" things. Hell, I did too. Or at least mitigate damage. Guys, we can only fix things ourselves of our own issues. I know you all have said that, but I think we need to challenge ourselves further. I realized that is what I have to do too for myself.
I don't look at this at the end, but a new beginning. In fact, I was getting rather bored as of late.

I guess I need to feel like I'm moving mountains every so often to feel normal. Count that as me being a type A personality.
There are change and hope, but only how WE make it individually ourselves. There is no one that can tell us different. Don't let Obama make those words into bad words because of him. Make it separate from him because that's what they are---separate from him.
We need to stop crying, being sad. Look at this as an opportunity to get stronger. I doubt Obama will be able to go after us and hunt us down. Oh yeah, he'll try things no doubt... however nothing is as bleak as it seems.
We had our time to cry. Now it is our time to rebuilt what the GOP was meant for.
You guys can all do it. I know you can.
