Arrow WSJ left off one name...

Rahm to Bill to Joe

Quote:
At his Thursday press conference, President Obama said that "I can assure the public that nothing improper took place" in the curious case of Joe Sestak and the Pennsylvania Senate primary—but he declined to say what, exactly, took place. After yesterday's pre-Memorial Day weekend news dump, now we know. Sort of. Maybe. In a way.

Last summer, Mr. Sestak said he'd been offered a high-ranking federal job in return for ending his ultimately successful bid to depose Arlen Specter, an act of interfering in an election that would constitute a felony if it was direct enough. The account released yesterday by White House counsel Robert Bauer says that Rahm Emanuel enlisted Bill Clinton "to determine whether Congressman Sestak would be interested in service on a Presidential or other Senior Executive Branch Advisory Board." And the post "would have been uncompensated."
The law is quite clear, it does not matter whether Rahm Emanuel used Bill Clinton as a go between to make the offer to Joe Saistek.
Quote:
TITLE 18 > PART I > CHAPTER 11 > § 201
Prev | Next§ 201. Bribery of public officials and witnesses
(b) Whoever—
(1) directly or indirectly, corruptly gives, offers or promises anything of value to any public official or person who has been selected to be a public official, or offers or promises any public official or any person who has been selected to be a public official to give anything of value to any other person or entity, with intent—(A) to influence any official act; or ...
Through out the law you will find repeated references to " directly or indirectly".

As such, Rahm Emanuel indirectly broke the law and committed a felony.

What is left off is that Rahm Emanuel was hired by Mr. Obama to do his dirty work. Further, Rahm would not have acted without discussing the matter with his master. As such, Mr. Obama indirectly broke the law, and committed an Impeachable offense.

Thus the WSJ title should read: Barack to Rahm to Bill to Joe

Stories on Obama's FavorGate...

What Is It About the Sestak Scandal That Sounds So Familiar?
Quote:
If it looks like an impeachable offense and smells like an impeachable offense, it most probably is a Democrat president involved in high crimes and misdemenors! Connect the damn dots!
Obama's Watergate - Felony Bribery & Cover-up (Update)

Quote:
An "official response"? What does that mean?

Well, the answer is now clear. He was busy crafting the official response by colluding with the principle parties to ensure no documents exist, all stories are aligned, and the light of day would never shine upon the truth.
Obama and Sestak :Make an Impeachable Offer
Quote:
Legally you can't just use someone else as a shill to skirt the law-if so the law would be useless. It does not matter if it was Clinton, Rahm Immanuel or Corky the Clown who made the offer; if it was made on behalf of Obama or the White House and had jobs involved it's a big problem.
Corky the Clown (aka V.P. Bo Bo)
Quote:
Before we lap up what most of the press says with joy I have three questions:
1-Why did it take so long for an answer-nearly a week?
2-Whose idea was it in the White Hosue
and
3-Do you really think that we believe Sestak was offered a "non-paid" position to quit?

Why did the White House contact Joe Sestak’s brother? Update: Bob the Fixer earns his stripes; Issa responds; Sestak statement added
Quote:
Is Bob “The Silencer” Bauer hard at work fixing the Sestak scandal for Boss Obama?
Perhaps.
Roll Call reports that somebody at the White House dialed up Joe Sestak’s brother and campaign manager, Richard, yesterday in preparation for the “official statement” that the president promised would be released soon:

The Impostor has commited crimes by offering positions to people to fold their campaigns. He is guilty of federal laws. If the Rebuplicans have the backbone to act....we finnally have our impeachable act. But don't hold your breath....theae are lifetime politicians...not men of honor.

Problem is that the indignation from the right side of the aisle doesn't have the same 'spirit' of hatred and malice that indignation from the left does ... and the public (even though Obama is an obvious cad) seems content to NOT go after the self righteous posers on the left, no matter what they do. This is how shallow morality is in America today.

The lack of will to go after this blatant TAMPERING with an election, reflects how confused and how bamboozled Americans are by the left's self righteous and shallow CLAIMS of morality.

If one looks at scripture, the left are the champions of ungodliness; they IGNORE SCRIPTURE IN THE BIBLE, while they promote homosexuality and abortion (and we ARE a christian nation), while they work feverishly to justify and honor Islam and the Koran. They turn their back on Christ, while they bow down to Allah (an idol).

Christian Americans, what is the matter with you?

John Brennan pontificating on the legitimacy of Jihad, while the entire left yowls and screams if the bible is even mentioned (because the bible does not condone what they are doing) should be proof enough for any thinking, Christian American that these posers on the left are NOT righteous - they are tools of the devil.

Wake up America!

Your spiritual house is being ransacked!

Former Sen. Fred Thompson weighs in on Sestak Job Offer

Fred Thompson on Obama, Sestak Matter
Skipping forward to Thompson's story & point.
Quote:
“A nice stash of cookies in the cookie jar that you had there all of a sudden go missing,” Thompson told listeners.

“You start looking around and there’s Sammy standing there with crumbs on his chin. ‘Sammy, what about it?’

“‘Papa, I’m gonna need a few days on this. I’ve gotta find out who the other possible culprits could be in this thing and what my options are. But I’ll have an official statement for you in a couple of days.’”

Thompson concluded: “The point being, ladies and gentlemen, that when you’re prepared to tell the truth it doesn’t take you that long, does it?”
Exactly.
Had the Liar-n-Chief, Propagator of Lies (Gibbs), Puppet Master (Emmanuel), Billary the Impeached, and the cast of other players not had to get their cover stories straight, along with running them by White House <cough> Legal <cough> Counsels, the Sestak answer would have been immediate vs. weeks later and in the form of vague memo of B.S.

Nor would there have been the non-sense of a self-investigation. If Sestak is lying and they are all telling the truth; then why is Obama and his minions hiding behind the lame claim of a self-investigation?

Why not invite an external investigation?
Because: a) they don't want any skeletons found and b) they are too busy trying to bury the bones of the Sestak affair.

Romanoff confirms White House job discussions
Quote:
U.S. Senate candidate Andrew Romanoff acknowledged tonight that he discussed three possible jobs with the deputy chief of staff of the Obama administration — all contingent upon a decision by Romanoff not to challenge U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet. Romanoff said none of the jobs was formally offered, but said the only reason they were discussed with Deputy Chief of Staff Jim Messina was if Romanoff stayed out of the Senate race.

"Mr. Messina also suggested three positions that might be available to me were I not pursuing the Senate race," Romanoff wrote in a statement. "He added that he could not guarantee my appointment to any of these positions. At no time was I promised a job, nor did I request Mr. Messina's assistance in obtaining one."
Sounds like a violation of the law by the Obamastration to me.

TITLE 18 > PART I > CHAPTER 11 > § 201
Prev | Next§ 201. Bribery of public officials and witnesses

Quote:
(b) Whoever—
(1) directly or indirectly, corruptly gives, offers or promises anything of value to any public official or person who has been selected to be a public official, or offers or promises any public official or any person who has been selected to be a public official to give anything of value to any other person or entity, with intent—(A) to influence any official act; or ...
Even if one wants to argue there was not an absolute direct violation of the law, there was a clear attempt to circumvent the purpose (spirit) of the law. Which in its self rises to the level of Impeachment based on conduct that is below the expected and acceptable conduct of office.

And Mr. Obama is Impeachable even if he tries to use others under him or even former President Clinton as scape-goats.
Meaning of "High Crimes and Misdemeanors"
Quote:
An executive official is ultimately responsible for any failures of his subordinates and for their violations of the oath he and they took, which means violations of the Constitution and the rights of persons. It is not necessary to be able to prove that such failures or violations occurred at his instigation or with his knowledge, to be able, in Starr's words, to "lay them at the feet" of the president. It is sufficient to show, on the preponderance of evidence, that the president was aware of misconduct on the part of his subordinates, or should have been, and failed to do all he could to remedy the misconduct, including termination and prosecution of the subordinates and compensation for the victims or their heirs. The president's subordinates include everyone in the executive branch, and their agents and contractors. It is not limited to those over whom he has direct supervision. He is not protected by "plausible deniability". He is legally responsible for everything that everyone in the executive branch is doing.

Heard on Neil Cavuto today..

from a Democrat on his panel discussion, who, by her own statement voted for Obama, she said Democrats are "throwing Obama under the bus" .. Neil said "...well, I don't know about that (or words to that effect).." and she said "..hey, I voted for him, you gotta hear what I'm saying ... "

So Neil asked "would you vote for him again" .. and she said "No, not today, actually I think he's kind of a wimp" ...

I had to laugh ... especially in the light of his speech in Pennsylvania when none of the Democrats showed up to meet him or listen to his blathering...

He's self destructing... and the Rats are leaving the ship!

Obama under fire for election tactics

Quote:
The White House on Thursday dismissed charges that President Obama's top aides have breached his pledge to run the most ethical and open administration in history by trying to entice Democrats in Pennsylvania and Colorado to skip races against favored incumbents.
Oh good grief...

Quote:
Press secretary Robert Gibbs countered that the White House has every right to try to avert expensive and divisive intraparty primaries between Democrats, something it did by encouraging potential candidates to consider other options, including government jobs or appointments.
Wrong, the White House does not have "every right". The White House has to stay within the law just like everybody else. In fact, the White House and a President should be setting examples of Lawful behavior, and upstanding ethics and morals.

Quote:
"The president has an interest in ensuring that supporters don't run against each other in contested primaries," Gibbs said.
Sure Mr. Obama does, but his interest does not give him the authority to violate the law. Why is it that nobody in the Press Corps can point this obvious flawed claim out to Gibbs and take him to task?

Didn’t it make you cringe when he made all those promises about an open and ethical admin in the campaign?! Reminded me of the Clinton promises all over again and look – who’s involved with all this – it’s Ex-President Clinton himself…
