Could he run... and WIN?
Hello, All. I wanted to get an honest opinion here. I personally think that the GOP Presidential field is in need of "The One". With all the polls I'm currently seeing, it doesn't seem we've found any one candidate that has taken the high ground in the primaries. Some swear that Romney will win the nomination, others (including me), think Gingrich has a great chance. BUT, If (just IF), Mike Huckabee would jump in the race right now, would he win? I say YES! I think it would be a landslide, and it would show in the polls in less than one week. NOT saying I think he will run, as he clearly stated he won't (although I pray to God he would... ), but if he did, He'd win... IMO.
So, what are your thoughts? Would he win, if he joined the race, or is it too late?
PS: I personally want Rick Perry to win the Nomination. I like Newt Gingrich, but I can't honestly say I like him more than perry (and I flat-out do not like Romney at all... IMO, we don't need a Rhino in office...)
Thanks, everyone! I look forward to your opinions!

Honestly? You are buying into the media hype.
Each of the candidates would make a fine president. If you wait for the"one" he will never come: Nobody is perfect. Even Ronald Reagan wasn't perfect.
I am voting for Newt Gingrich. He is fantastic and will make an excellent president.

...the nomination will be settled before April Fool's Day, I predict.
The GOP is blessed with a roster of fabulous candidates. Aside from Paul, Johnson, and Huntsman-I'm very comfortable with any of them.
We all have our criteria for the ideal POTUS/POTUS Candidate. Mine would include success in the private sector, executive experience in and/or outside government, and a scandal-free background. While it sounds like I've eliminated Santorum, Gingrich, and Bachmann, I have not.
As I've said, any of the "serious six" (depending on whether Cain stays in); the above plus Romney and Perry would work very well for me.

My first choice is also Rick Perry, with Newt Gingrich coming a very close second. The rest of them, aside from the rinos romney and paul, would be better than barry but not by much.

I dont think mike Huckabee will run either, too bed about Cain, and i dont like Romney he's too slick, Newt Gingrich i am hoping he gets the nomination, as far as running mate bachman? I just hate it when the media concentrates on all their foibells, I mean how much worse can any of them be than MR. Perfect Obummer the perfectly primed, and packaged, and mismarketed president. that was pretty when America bought into him, but now he does not work.

I'm not buying into the hype. I just simply wish Huckabee would run. In my opinion, he is the best possible candidate we could have.
And I simply DO NOT like Mitt Romney, given his backround, and shadyness.
I too, love Newt Gingrich. In fact, I would, at this point, vote for him as well. At least Newt is not "on the fence" about our Defence, the 2nd Amendment, and 1st Amendment (Religion). This si also why I like Rick Perry as well.
I guess I feel a little worried about 2012.

I agree. I think Newt will be the Nomination. I'm VERY suprised we don't have any poll numbers in the 40's... I think the highest is Newt at 38%?

I agree. I'm torn between Perry, and Gingrich.
IMO, anybody but Romney... Or Hussein Obama for that matter!
