<font color="purple" c>What was the first car you ever owned?
Mine was a '70 Mustang convertable. I was living in Florida and it was a perfect Florida car. Fire Engine red, black top and White leather interior. What a set of wheels! My dad bought it for me from a man who had to sell it because he was getting divorced and needed the money. It was a weekend car and had very low mileage.
Six months later I moved to NY. I drove it over 1,300 miles non-stop with a friend and you can imagine how exhausted we were when we arrived at the new apartment. I had arranged for a spot in a parking garage but the lease didn't go into effect until August 1 and I arrived July 31. So we unpacked the car except for the trunk and crashed until the next day. When I went out to get the things from my trunk the next morning, I couldn't find my car. I swore I parked it in the area I was looking 1/2 block from my apartment. I walked up and down the block in shock...Ruby and most of my worldly posessions were gone. Stolen off the streets of Noo Yawk.

Man, that sucks. Sorry, Melissa.
I sort of had two first cars. One was a 74 Camaro, kind of a beat up old hot rod. Had an early 396 big block swapped in it. Never titled or insured it. My buddys and I would head to town, do huge burnouts and generally raise h***, then go home, and hide it in the barn until next weekend. Had straight through exhaust with no mufflers, so no matter where you went, you arrived deaf. Silver and black with white interior. She was old and beat up and rusty, but man, that car was a good time.
My other first car was a 68 Plymouth Satellite. I bought it from the original owner, the proverbial little old lady that only drove it to church on Sundays. Brought it home, pulled the 318, swapped in a built 340, and had fun. I have so many good memories of that car, I wouldn't even know where to start.

My first vehicle was an '86 Nissan pickup, the kind with four headlights, before they switched to the "hard body" new design. (My grandfather's '78 was nearly identical.) It had a short cab, vinyl bench seat, rubber floor, 2.4L carbureted four cylinder engine, five speed...base everything, except for a "California Package" that added A/C, a radio, a big chrome bumper with integrated hitch (as tough as a frame mount), and these big chrome swing-out mirrors like you'd find on a work truck. Sometimes I wish I still had that Nissan
