Hi - I'm the "liberal" who was quoted here. Unfortunately, many of your "facts" are not quite on track.

-Firstly, I'm a registered republican, highly conservative both on social matter and political matters. I've voted the Republican Ticket for every election my entire adult life. My family is a member of a conservative church in Charlotte, NC and my son attends the conservative Christian school associated with this church.

Yes, I'm an expert Employment Specialist and Capitalist. Just like you love to get samples at Costco and the local yogurt shop, many people are often employed after allowing others to sample their God-given talents.

I wrote for free before anyone ever started paying me to blog. I personally have been responsible for guiding the employment process of thousands of individuals and I have seen time and again how people are picked up for full-time positions when they volunteer or when they offer potential employers free samples of their product (themselves).

I was not talking about working for free forever. I'm also confused as to why you pegged me as a liberal?

In any event. Just thought I would set the record straight.

Thank you for your post and for the clarification - I certainly didn't mean to portray a wrong picture - the comment (excerpt) I quoted appeared to me to be “good advice from a liberal"... I can see where you made the statement in a different context.

Ms Faulkner, I know you didn't mean working for free forever. However, when you are a low-level unskilled worker who has bills that are piling up you can't afford to bother with working for free for any period of time. Time is not on your side.
