Obama makes fun of Fox News viewers again

Quote:
“So, just in case some of your friends or neighbors or, ya know, Uncle Jim who’s a little stubborn and been watching Fox News and, ya know, he thinks that somehow I raised taxes. Let’s just be clear. We’ve lowered taxes for middle class families since I came in office,” Obama said.

Because, ya know, it’s really presidential to make everyone who watches Fox News out to be a complete idiot. It must be purely coincidental that all of the “Uncle Jims” out there have made Fox News the most watched news network of the past decade.

Fox News is conservative. Say all you want about how they are fair and balanced, but they are fair and balanced towards conservative thinking – and that’s okay. What’s not okay is telling someone that they are wrong for watching it, especially when you are the President of the United States.

The right we have to watch Fox News is the same right that others have to watch MSNBC; that isn’t an arguing point. Having a president that is literally running his campaign on a “divide and conquer” strategy is.

President Obama seems like he has been blaming Republicans and wealthy Americans for the state of the economy in order to fire up his dedicated liberal fan base for the election so that they will donate money, volunteer, and help spread his message to undecided independents, but vilifying a party or class of people isn’t what we need to improve America. What Obama is doing is a weak last-ditch effort and a cry for attention. He’s the incumbent President and should have an easier time campaigning – if he’s done such a good job all he has to do is point to his succeses.

….Still waiting for him to point out his successes….

….Still waiting….

Anyway, Romney has kept his message clear the entire time: ECONOMY. He may have made some comments about liberal news networks or whatever, but we haven’t really heard anything about that because Romney isn’t concerned with trash-talking news outlets or their viewers. Romney wants to fix the economy more than he wants to use “Uncle Jim” as the target of a joke aimed at getting laughs to bolster his “likability” category.

Let’s hope we can keep these campaigns talking about the economy and the successes and/or failures of Obama instead of wasting time talking about Uncle Jim’s differing opinion.
