Agree to disagree...
I usually agree with Charles Krauthammer - however - I was startled to hear today (on FOX - I admit ) that he calls the president the "comeback kid" and apparently thinks that Obama has officially moved (himself in)to a centrist position for re-election purposes and - says Mr. Krauthammer - will have a good chance to be re-elected.
Op-Ed Washington Times 12-17-10:
The new comeback kid
by Charles Krauthammer
If Barack Obama wins reelection in 2012, as is now more likely than not, historians will mark his comeback as beginning on Dec. 6, the day of the Great Tax Cut Deal of 2010...

I think it will take a lot more than the extension of the Bush tax-cuts. Last time I checked the libs were pretty angry...

Krauthammer has to be taken seriously, even when we don't like what he says. I've disagreed with him on occasion, but his opinion is still one of my favorites.

...to be honest with y'all, right now I'm paying attention to Dick Morris.
With his hands-on experience and the way he (unfortunately) resurrected Clinton following '94, he has more credibility with me than a Krauthammer, whom we all respect.
Morris seems to believe Obama lacks the capacity to rebound like a Clinton; and the folks around him are ideologically rigid.
One things for sure; we're never at a loss for opinions...

I hate to be "a bummer" on the party...
However, I agree with Krauthammer. Mr. Obowamama should not be underestimated in the least, nor the corruption his radicals will go to, too see him kept in power.
Keep in mind, Democrats lack ethics and morals. They WILL vote for the likes of Clinton or Obama (both known Liars); whereas Republicans will not. For example: When Bush Sr. broke his promise of No new Taxes, I and others I know did not vote for Bush Sr.
The fanaticism on the Left is so bad, their ethics & morals so low, and their thinking so screwed up --- I believe that even if Mr. ObamaTraitor murdered somebody, there would be some Leftists try to claim it was a) Justifiable murdered & b) Obama can't be guilty because he is President.

I guess you might say that the repeal of don't ask don't tell could now be considered a historic moment and celebrations are certainly underway. I shudder to think: this will help Obama's chance to not only be nominated again but also to have a shot at winning re-election...

On the other hand Obama just increased his opposition.

That's true - except for a minority who has forced this down our throats (granted - the liberal left is a vital part of any democrat contenders constituency) it is obvious that this is not a good thing and the majority of americans and voters know it...
