Friends, the government is at it again! Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are again under attack through ruthless taxation with out proper justification. Which in my book is tantamount to taxation without representation. Those in congress, especially Mr. Doggett , one of the co-authors of this bill, are attempting to micromanage our lives. Please, everyone, I know that in this time of economic hardship it is hard to part with any thin dime, but $9.00 to have a letter sent, after signing this petition to your local and federal representatives and senators will help send a message that we, the American people, are tired of this relentless attack on our liberties, and that we are tired of all relentless attacks and attempts to micromanage our lives from Washington D.C.

A 775% increase on an industry and portion of the population that is a small and underrepresented body in this constituency is unfathomable. Friends, we are a nation of entrepreneurs, and we are a nation of ingenuity, but this type of action attacks the very core of what it means to be an American! Friends, if we do not stand up to this now, through each and every one of these little steps, all of our liberties will be taken away systematically! I cannot understand how it is that these leaders feel justified in taking this position. However, what I feel is irrelevant! What is relevant, is that I am taking a stand against this unconstitutional violation of the Equal Protection Clause, and I am asking you to join with me in this noble cause against improper taxation!

Let it be known to both the Obama administration, and the legislative branch in general, that we the American People will no longer tolerate this sort of inequity, supposedly enacted on our behalf! Let congress know that they do not represent you, when trying to pass this bill, and add your name to this golden roster, to bring protection to what are very American values! Of course, no post on my part would be complete lacking a historical connection. Let us look back to the time of the founding of our nation, and recall whether our founding fathers partook in tobacco.

In short, they did. John Adams smoked a pipe. Pipe smoking was prevalent in the continental armies who stood against the oppressive red coats! Pipe smoking was seen even with the man we herald for great political foresight! That's right! Ronald Wilson Reagan was an avid pipe smoker in his days in Hollywood. No matter what the health consequences of pipe smoking may be, no matter what the deleterious effects it may have, it is our God Given right, and choice as an American to smoke a pipe. When they step on our rights, they tread on our liberty, and they violate the very core principals of what it means to be an American! Friends, let us put a stop to this madness now, and sign this great petition! Thank you.

This just goes to show how these political hacks, when they get elected, think anyone who does not absolutely agree with them is incapable of thinking for themselves ... so they enthusiastically engage in nanny policies ... one can see that the great whip in their hands is 'taxation' ... they LOVE to tax .. they think they have a mandate to take money from citizens to enact their crazy policies, instead of allowing social responsibility to take place on a state level, much closer to the people involved and affected.

They think the federal government (because THEY are elected to it) is supposed to think for us and make decisions for us, and be our mom and dad.

I despise these social engineering ploys by the feds .... we need a clean sweep.

I am happy to see Carly Fiona (R) of California running on fiscal responsibility for the Senate against Boxer the idgit! Carly has run HP and knows something about large scale fiscal issues, and she is conservative.

Glenn Beck had her on today in Los Angeles ... a tacit endorsement? Glenn asked her some questions and they were basically in agreement.

It's also nice to see Meg Whitman, former CEO of eBay running for governor .. again, she knows large scale fiscal issues and is saying the right things... conservative restoration... fiscal responsibility... cutting taxes...
