Some people understand life better And they call some of these people retarded"...
At the Seattle Special Olympics, nine contestants, all physically or mentally disabled, assembled at the starting line for the 100-yard dash.
At the gun, they all started out, not exactly in a dash, but with a relish to run the race to the finish and win.
All, that is, except one little boy who stumbled on the asphalt, tumbled over a couple of times, and began to cry. The other eight heard the boy cry.
They slowed down and looked back. Then they all turned around and went back...... every one of them.
One girl with Down's Syndrome bent down and kissed him and said, "This will make it better."
Then all nine linked arms and walked together to the finish line. Everyone in the stadium stood, the cheering went on for several minutes.
People who were there are still telling the story... Why? Because deep down we know this one thing:
What matters in this life is more than winning for ourselves.
What matters in this life is helping others win, even if it means slowing down and changing our course.
If you pass this on, we may be able to change our hearts as well as someone else's.
"A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle"
So, what ya gonna do?

Many thanks... but it is "Eliz." with an "E" I received a telephone call, several years ago from our then State Representative telling me that I was the only "Eliz." with an "E" on the Colorado River, in fact I was the only "Eliz." with an "E" in the State of Arizona. (I just refuse to *******ize the name any more than it already is).
Anyway, I received a telephone call a few minutes ago, a died in the wool Democrat called to tell me that computer print outs I had given her made sense (print outs of the debate and news stories) anyway, she convinced three of her girlfriends the logic of what I had been trying to tell them and all four, plus a boyfriend have changed their thinking completely and are going to vote for President George W. Bush. (These are young, first time voters).
Which just goes to show that "you can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar" as the old saying goes.
It pays to be patient and respect another persons right of the thought process and just patiently show them another way of thinking.
Have a Great Day!
Eliz.

"GI's Who Refused Job Had Unarmored Trucks" thanks to John Kerry who voted against funds for our Troops... Read this
http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...vestigation_28
Things like this help to convince undecided voters and even die hard Democrats. Bit by bit the truth surfaces like cream in a bottle of milk.
(Cause and effect. Kerry did that, this is the result)

We are on a roll; Got a call at the office today, a young businessman (he's younger than I am, 38-years young) been a Demo most of his adult years, but has had a lot of second thoughts. I told him to seek out the truth, even if it meant going into the Congressional Record. To make a long story short, he told me he is "proud to vote for President George W. Bush this November (he will be a cross over vote) too late to change his party affiliation.

I am so tired I can't sleep... it has been a hectic campaign, as we all know. I have positively converted twelve (12) Democrats, and possibly an additional two. They in turn convinced anywhere from two to eight people. They will cross over and vote for
President George W. Bush tomorrow-today...
I stuck to the facts and gave them printed news reports, reprints of the Debates...
They were shocked, they didn't really hear what was being said, when they read the words, it sunk in.
Anyway, I managed to convert a few people and pray a lot.
Wishing all of you a Blessed Day,
