One of the greatest achievements towards peace in the last century was in May of 1988 when President Reagan signed the INF treaty with Premier Gorbachev. This landmark agreement eliminated an entire class of nuclear weaponry, the only time in history this happened and without putting our country in harms way. The two great leaders were to receive a dual nobel peace prize that year, but the heads of it decided it was too controversial with an election that year in the US.

So Jimmy Carter gets a BS Nobel Peace Prize for practically getting Anwar Sadat killed and these two larger than life leaders get shut out??? And Dukakis had a really great chance to win that election too in '88, didnt he?

Reagan deserves this award as well as Gorbachev. Carter received his years later, why cant these two men, whom Carter couldnt hold a candle to, receive theirs?
