Photos Prove Connection Between Iraq and Al-Qaeda Terrorists
It's not in geo synchronous orbit, so they can move it to map, measure and monitor anywhere on earth.

The third of the three shots zeros in on what looks like a Boeing 727 fuselage to me.

Everyone says it's a 707, but its wings would be farther forward if that were the case.

So it's probably a 727, or at least a tri-jet.

One of the stories I read this week and put into Rush's Saddam Stack of Stuff in researching all this, cited Aviation Week and Space Technology's article on this facility.

This confirms the existence of that fuselage, which Iraqi defectors including Captain Sabah Khodada warned America about.

UN inspectors say this was once and could still be the site of BW research.

The facility includes a terrorism training facility where they train on this civilian airliner.

(Read the chilling transcript.)

The entire facility sits in an ox bow of the Tigris River, 25 km south of Baghdad.

This series of shots gradually gets closer to the plane's fuselage, located at the southern (bottom) part of the facility, above the bend in the river.

IKONOS travels 423 miles above the earth's surface at a speed of 17,500mph, but it's done a better job of pointing this out than the UN Inspectors who saw it on the ground.

Pray tell, what is it doing there? How did it get there, since it obviously didn't land there (no runway)? And WHY is it there?

Are Brits REALLY That naive?

do you even have to ask that? LOL

Tony Blair is the only reason Britian isnt on our bad list along with the French...

Although I am curious, what would you say those pictures are of Rock? Just speculate on what that could be if it not a terrorist training facility.

You'll find similar things at most international airports (for fire training) and at military sites (for hostage rescue training). If this is such a top secret issue why the hell do you think they got the thing parked at a known satellite target for all the world to see ?

The simple fact is that these photos prove precisely nothing-contrary to the claim at the top of this page.

It may well be exactly what you say it is.It may not be.

Naive ? Yeah,right-whatever you say guys.

I'm sure the Iraqis were doing some fire-training to make sure that people Saddam wants to gas can exit the airplane safely in the event of an emergency.

Even a cursory glance tells one that this is NOT an airport. There is no trace of a runway or taxiway. The plane was brought there from elsewhere. It did not land there.

Or in this case, for hostage-taking.

I repeat: naive. Where the hell are they going to park it in a land that's 99% sand so that a satellite CAN'T spot it?

Look at the damn thing. It's totally out of place there. It's like finding the Queen Mary in an inland lake. This is a "known" terrorist training camp. What better place is there for it to be? Basrah International Airport, perhaps?

Perhaps you'd be so kind as to share your dazzling teenage insight with all the military and political experts who are of the mistaken conviction that a civilian airliner in a known terrorist training facility represents evidence that they train terrorists to hijack airplanes.

It's not what WE say. It's what the people who are experts in such matters say.

The images are reduced versions of photos taken by the Ikonos commercial photography satellite (go here to see what Ikonos can do). Would you care to guess what the US government has for photos from its surveillance satellites such as the KH-12 Keyhole that can resolve ground objects down to six inches (some sites give a lower figure than that)? And that's from the satellites that they admit exist.

If you believe that the involved governments are relying for their intelligence on those photos, let me tell you about some land that I own in Florida.
