<h2><font color=#003399> B-1 Bomber Hit 'Big One' In 12 Minutes</font></h2>
When I first heard NBC break this story about our B-1B strike against Saddam, I was excited.
These guys heard the order from the airborne air traffic controller to drop their bombs on "the Big One," and did it within twelve minutes!
But then I started to ask some questions prompted by Dennis Ross, Clinton's envoy to Israel to deal with the Palestinians.
Ross was skeptical about why Saddam would meet with so many people outside one of his bunkers.
I guess maybe Saddam felt invulnerable, or he didn't want anyone to know where the bunkers are.
They had to pick up some stray DNA while Arnett had them suction-cupped to the dictator's Clymer.
I also want to make a quick note on the proper designation for the bombers we used.
Everybody calls them B-1 bombers, but there is a more accurate name: The B-1 Bomber Cancelled by Nobel Prize Winner Jimmy Carter & Revived by President Ronaldus Magnus.
That's the bomber I proposed going on "the Diet for Peace" for, because I was too large to fit into the cockpit - something I'd have to do to realize my dream of flying a B-1 on the way to Moscow.
Today it would be easy for me to fit in the B-1, but there's no need for the diet now because Reagan - by using strength - took the lead in smashing the evil Soviet empire.
That's exactly what we're doing in Iraq, so that someday the Iraqis can enjoy the same freedom and freedom from tyranny the Russians are enjoying.

(...recount the days of his proposed "diet for peace," and remind us of the B-1's legacy)
