Red face

OK, so you want to put down the economy…

Oooh, now here is a subject I’ll bet you think you have the upper hand on… Not!!
Lets discuss fraud and waste in the government shall we. How Many of you know how much money is handed out to earned income recipients each year? How many of you know who gets those big checks? To the tune of $ 4-6,000.00 per year. Lets see a show of hands here, I didn’t think you had a clue. The major portion of those getting those size checks, do not pay one red penny in taxes. That is right, I know the democrats forgot to mention that. And lets not forget the ones who work just long enough to know they will get that earned income check at the end of the year. And then spend the rest of the year living off of you and me.. Now the average person, who works all year might and I do mean, might get $ 2-500.00. And that is only if they are lucky enough to be considered in the lower tax bracket. But most have to pay in. I know, I was there I saw it, I prepared their taxes. And let me tell you, you do not want to know how much of your tax dollars walk out that door each year. In the hands of people who actuarially tell you to your face “ I hope I quit soon enough to get my earned income credit.”

And while we are on the subject of waste, what about the person who is on welfare and food stamps, and HUD pays for their housing. That you get behind in the grocery store, follow outside to see the new bright shiny Cadillac that they get into. Not to mention, the fact that they are wearing designer label clothing. While those who really need help, must depend on those faith based programs that the democrats don’t want anything to do with. I know I’ve seen it with my own two eyes. I know, I dared mention these subjects, I must not want people to get anything. No, I have just seen to many times people who actuarially need help get turned away. I guess it is their fault, they don’t know how to work the system. Or, maybe it is the government’s fault. For not checking to see where the money is really going. Maybe it is the people of America’s fault, for knowing and not doing anything about it.. Or it could be that it is OK for people to lie and cheat to get what they want from the government.

Oh, and by the way Mr. Lieberman. I don’t suppose we could blame you for giving yourself a salary of $300,000.00 while you were on the Senate intelligence committee. After all they did tell you to name your own salary. And since no one was looking, you stuck your hand way down into that cookie jar didn’t you, and your buddies. Oh, and thank you for pointing out that Enron gave money to the Bush campaign. Of course, if I were you I probably wouldn’t have bothered to mention the money they gave you either. Why that would have made you look hypocritical now wouldn’t it. But your right, those of us who pay your salary don’t deserve to get any of their money back. Shoot we would only spend it on things like food..

You want to talk about the economy, I don’t suppose 9/11 had anything to do with it. Nor the fact that that boom economy that Clinton gave us was all based on lies. That were only uncovered during the Bush administration. Nor did having to pay for Clinton’s legal defense, much less the investigation. And one other thing I’ll bet has never occurred to you great thinkers. On 9/11, the terrorists were playing the stock market. Betting that the airlines they were about to destroy would lose money. Who can tell me with out a single doubt, that they haven’t been playing it all along. Think about it, they know we are worried about the economy, what better way to get to us? Bring it up, drop it down, just to keep us focused on something other than the war on terror. And what better way to ruin the one man that could possibly bring them down. Think about it!

I don’t suppose any of you remember the big computer virus, which hit here recently. It took out ATM’s. Those are not supposed to be vulnerable to viruses. I think that was a test to see what they could shut down. So you go ahead and tell me that the terrorist wouldn’t try and mess with the economy. You tell me they won’t do everything in their power to destroy us.

Hey lets not use fact and truth in here. It upsets the weenie liberal mind.

Seriously though, great post! What's amazing is that I still hear the press harping on Reagan for "putting us into a recession that Clinton got us out of."

Reagan didn't just initiate a "tax cut", he singlehandedly restructured the entire system. Then he went out and restructured world politics and set millions of people free. Reagan had the balls to do what he thought was right.

Now we have the Dems blaming Bush for the current state of the economy. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but in all of my economics and finance classes, it seems to me that no president can implement any policy that will impact the economy during his own administration.

In other words, it takes years and years for a change in economic policy to impact the economy.

Bush is still cleaning up the economic mess and Clinton's Stock Market Bubble everyone knows damn well he inherited.

i believe in the united states it is congress who has power of spending. also presidents can exucteu policy but it takes years. yes reagan restructured economie and did a fantastique job. in france parliament spends, but we have a ministre of finance that does much of that. president sets policy and appoints prime minster, now france for the first time has a conservative president and prime ministre and is starting to implement reaganomiques in france

Good for you, Reagan was the best president this country ever had.. And Our "W" is walking in his footsteps.. We are so proud of our president, he has the guts to stand up to a dictator. Even when some would prefer to look the other way...
