<h2><font color=#003399>Constitution Scholar Mark Levin Slams Senator Kerry Over Alito Filibuster</font></h2>
by Jim Kouri - Reacting to the news that Senator John Kerry (D-MA) is flying back to Washington to head up an attempt at filibustering the confirmation of Judge Samuel Alito to the US Supreme Court, well-known constitutional scholar and talk host Mark Levin called Kerry a disgrace.
Levin took issue at Kerry leaving his five-star ski resort to stop a man from assuming his rightful position on the nation's highest court.

"Kerry's flying back to the capitol from Switzerland not to [move on the important] Patriot Act, not to straighten out problems with the NSA spying controversy, not to work on protecting Americans from terrorist attacks, but to stop Judge Alito from becoming an Associate Justice," Levin exclaimed.

Levin also asked rhetorically, "Who paid for Kerry's trip to Switzerland? Who paid for [Republican] Senator John McCain's? If this was Tom DeLay, the media would be asking a [hundred] questions."

During his comments on the floor of the US Senate, Kerry blasted some of Judge Alito's supporters including political pundit and author Ann Coulter, Judge Robert Bork and Pat Buchanan calling them extremists.

"You can judge a man by his friends," Kerry said.

Politcial analyst Mike Baker rebutted, "If we're to judge someone by their friends, then shouldn't we judge Kerry by the actions of Michael Moore, Whoopi Goldberg making an obscene gesture while saying 'Bush', and other radical leftists?"

Yeah the Alito filibuster was a really dumb idea.

I agree with the New Republic that the Democrats that were opposed to the nomination should have just voted no and not filibustered. Kind of a waste of 'political K' huh? Kerry is looking like a goof lately (almost as bad a W)... kidding!
