That's funny coming from you. You are nothing but a faux conservative so if your intention was to insult you have not succeeded.

If Finman or Dutch typed that statement; it would have some weight to it. Coming from you it is flimsy.

Rather, your words have once again served to prove you are a liberal.
</font>
I believe in small government, personal responsibility, individual freedom, free-market capitalism, and a literal reading of the US Constitution. How does that make me a liberal?

Ronald Reagan once said, "I never left the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party left me".

Those of us who maintain our conservative beliefs feel the same about the current Republican Party.

Well it's true that the Republican party is sliding away from conservatism.

But saying you're not a Republican doesn't make you a conservative, oh beer boy.

And, by the way, I'll give weight to your accusations that conservative Christians are belligerent when YOU spend some time in the most hated, persecuted, and killed people group on the planet.

Matthew 5:39
But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Matthew 5:44
But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.

Hey, guess what, Guiness... George W. Bush isn't a Clinton, either. Nor a Carter, or a Nixon, or a Roosevelt, or a Truman... or even a George HW Bush.

He is a George W. Bush... with unique foreign policy for unique times.

People who spend all their time daydreaming about presidents of the past have completely missed the fact that we are fighting an unprecedented type of war. And IMHO, Bush is doing EXACTLY the right things.

So, no... he's no Reagan, or Clinton, or...

He's unique.

Thank God!

...the only Presidential comparison I can draw with Bush is Lincoln; based on the unprecedented nature of the conflict at hand.

How about Truman, who shocked the world and particularly the Soviets by going to Korea...

Dubya's foreign policy is more like Wilson, I would think.

Wilson? We are talking 14 points Wilson right? I'm thinking the only thing in common is they both had two legs and two arms. Wilson's plan was idealistic because he believed everyone could get along (course many other believed that at the time -"War to end all Wars". However, George Bush's policies clearly do not share this misconception, he realizes that some people value power over civility...hence your Hitlers, Pol Pots, and Husseins. He therefore applies the applicable measures in order to advance the war on terrorism. In some cases political pressures, in other econcomic. And in the worst case he isn't afraid to use the US military. And best of all when he does use the military he commits enough to facilitate force protection while accomplishing the mission.

Welcome back, Stark!

A bit of advice. Please take everything that Guinness types with lots of grains of salt. He is a pretend "conservative" that posts here.
