That's not the total truth Fin I suspended myself for a while then you chose to de-mod me </font>
removed or suspended...I don't see much difference as the point was that you did that yourself, and like I said I consider the matter closed.

I second that. I think I read some of the Mike posts and I must say I do not remember them being harsh. If I recall correctly he was kind of one issue. However, his arguments were cogent.
I hope that RC stays and how about a SEPARATE pro life area. Then, ANY and all posts concerning abortion can go there. Is that not a compromise. If you do not want to get offended by pro-life stuff then stay out of that area? Could we not try that for awhile?

I belive Finmans decision should be final and not questioned. He is the Forum and site administrator, not everyone else here. He should not have to have a compromise to suit everyone else. As I said before, you guys dont know the whole story, as you have not been here long enough.

Now I belive that statement from finman was enough, and his final decision.
You guys are going to keep at Finman and hes gonna loose his patience with you.

I despise abortion and wish to God that one fine day we can see and end to this practice, but I think so long as God’s gift of Freewill remains in our possession there will always be some that practice the unspeakable.
With that said, abortion is never going to go away. Before it was made de facto law females still found ways to terminate the life within them and even if it is outlawed females will still find ways to terminate that life within them.
Rather than focus all my efforts and energies on the stopping an act that can only be stopped by the person committed to follow through on ending the life within them, I choose to focus a great deal of my energies on stopping that life from being created in the first place.
If a female under the age of 18 wants an abortion then the person that got her pregnant (verified via DNA) needs to go to jail. Deterring males from copulating is in my opinion the very best first step in reducing 1.4 million abortions that occur each year.
Voting only for a candidate based upon how vehemently they oppose abortion is only going to get every democrat running for office elected, and then you could order an abortion with your happy meal at McDonalds.
I agree with TXNavy and I am happy to see that someone of his caliber echoes the very same sentiments I have concerning Mike.
Finman, no worries. I would have done the same exact thing you did. Well done.

With that said, what about the idea of a separate area for abortion issues? How is that "poking" at Finman? We have problems with this issue and you could take care of it in one fell swoop.
Someone posts this or that in the Dubya section and person X posts some pro-life or pro-abortion statement. Fine, Fin posts a simple paste in that says, "not allowed in here, your posts has been moved to the abortion section."
End of discussion.
I am not questioning his moves, just wondering if we could not only fix this now, but in the FUTURE as well.

Hi Reagan_Youth
Why don't you post in one of the existing threads? They are open for posting.
As Dutch said, Finman has done the right thing.
He is the heart and soul of this board.

Only problem is...who's pro-choice around here?
Finman's the heart indeed...but can we vote on who the other body parts are? I have some, uh, special recommendations for the committee...

Well since abortion is an issue that directly effects women, it belongs in the Coulter's Corner Forum which is for women's issues.
Again, it was not the subject matter that was the problem, but the disruptive approach taken by an extremely small few.
It would't matter if the subject matter was "making candy canes" even that topic could be approached in a manner that becomes disruptive.
We have an obligation to try and keep disruption to a minimum and that sometimes means restraining those who's beliefs we agree with, and it's not an easy decision to make even when we know it needs to be made.
