That is so very sad!!
My best friend in high school went through something similar. She had just gotten her license about a month before the accident, and her parents were really strict when it came to her driving by herself(One of her parents had to be with her). Well she had a date with a guy and she wanted to drive(the guy didn't have his license yet). Anyways she finally talked her parents into letting her go on her own. Although her mom had called me and asked if I would try and talk her out of it. Which I was all for because this girl could not drive well(I still don't know how in the world she passed the driving test). I tried and tried to talk her out of it ,but it didn't work.
Well the night of her date I was driving home, and as I was passing her house I noticed that all the lights were on, it was almost midnight. These people NEVER had their lights on at that time of night.
Come to find out the next morning that my best friend had hit a car head on!! My friend's back had broken, but other than that she was okay(meaning she was still alive). Her boyfriend on the other hand passed away when they were operating on him. The other car had a woman and her two children. All 3 died from the crash!!
I still feel guilty about all of this, thinking maybe I should have tried harder in convincing her to let me take her to where they were going, maybe suggest a double date where I or my boyfriend at the time could have driven.
The point of all this rambling is to say that people who try to bring stuff up like this as a bashing are cruel. This kind of stuff is heart wrenching for all those involved.(directly or indirectly)
