LOL! I love it too (sorry Yankees fans). It's fabulous when the (by far) highest paid team in baseball can't beat the Baltimore Orioles even ONCE in a three-game series.

Sorry Cigar, the only tough ones in April are usually weather related after much study, it is my opinion that pitching wins, if that proves to be true the Yankees will be in the hunt as usual, another great staff that's getting by folks would be the Padres staff, arguably the best bullpen in baseball and some lively young starters, look back on this post in oct and lets see who is left standing, Marlins possess good pitching as well.

The Yankees bought a good pitching staff this year - Randy Johnson - because last year's staff ate it when they had to perform under pressure. Hmm, must be nice to have by far the highest paid roster in MLB.

The end of the first week in May, and you can smell the panic all the way down here in Kentucky. Maybe George's horse can pull out the win this weekend in the Derby. But, then again he will probably fire the jockey after the first turn
Juice bag rat Gamibi is a DH on the bench, and (Not to play favorites) That dirtbag piece of crap Bonds just underwent a THIRD "Knee Surgery".

Just to be fair, The Orioles are on one hell of a tear early season.

Yeah a couple wks have gone by since my last post on this and there does appear to be a little disention in Yankeeville, I still like my Padres this year though, the Cards have beat the Pads something like 40 outa the last 45 times they played em, well yesterday the Pads opened the season series at Busch with a 5-3 win, after bein owned that long by one team it's gotta mean somethin good for 05!!BASEBALL, HOT DOGS, APPLE PIE AND CHEVROLET........ALL AMERICAN BABY!!!!!!!

Win or lose I am a Yankee fan. They are a team (apparently) that is either loved or hated. But they do get LOTS of attention. Heck even the team owner's horse is news and not just in NY. They are a team that's accomplished what other teams can only dream of.
I am not a season ticket holder but typically attend enough games at the stadium...lots of history and pennants hanging. It's always wonderful to hear Ronan Tynan sing. Met him last week and he was sporting his World Series ring.
So gloat while you can. Their history and the inevitability that the World Series usually includes them makes some people batty.

George's horse (the FAVORITE) came in seventh. An omen for the yankees finish...
