My wife is the greatest!
Saturday we celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary.
She called me at 5pm to make sure I was home when she arrived........with a brand new 37" Hitachi LCD flat panel HDTV! Woohoo!!!

First of all....CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! My parents celebrated their 34th anniversary on the same day. Sadly, not many people stay married into the double digits so congrats.
Second of all.....shhhhhhh...don't tell my husband...I only took him to dinner for our anniversary....

Well I certainly married well. I can't say the same for her if ya know what I mean.
She's a much bigger sports fan than I am. So, instead of all the mushy stuff of getting all dressed up to go out, she wanted to stay home and watch the playoffs and eat popcorn while we snuggled. How cool is that!

Yeah, that IS pretty cool....we couldn't do a fun sports-themed anniversary because it would most likely end in bloodshed, I'm a huge fan of all things Chicago and my husband cheers for Philadelphia teams...
Anyhow...it's good to see that you guys are happy. Gives the rest of us (who haven't been married for very long) something to look forward to!

I'm sorry, but MY wife is the best!
If only my socialist, "anti-racist", "democratic" government would let her into the country so we could actually live together.
We've been married over 6 months, and in all that time we have been together (in her country) exactly 13 days. Last week her visa application was denied. No reason given, obviously.
No wonder Hitler's party was called the National SOCIALISTS.
Fascism or socialism : same difference.
Sorry, just had to get this off my chest.
