Saddam is dead. But.....
.....I'm not feeling much joy about it like I thought I would.
I'm one of those evil fundamentalist Christians of the Baptist variety. And as I read the news one thought kept coming to mind. But by the the Grace of God and the Gift of His Son, I won't have to pay the price that Saddam is paying right now. Mine has already been paid.
Justice has been served. Lets get the current mission in Iraq accomplished as quickly as reasonably possible and bring our friends and family home.

I posted on this as well. Basically my thoughts are kind of odd. Basically the celebrating in the streets kind of gets me. He has done alot of wrong but is still a man. I dunno celebrating about killing someone seems, I dunno. He did the same kinda of thing I am sure but I dunno.

I hear you guys on this....he was a horrible person and I'm glad this whole thing is over (I've been hearing about Saddam since sixth grade, so that's roughly the last 17 years, more than half of my life) but I'm not jumping up and cheering. Just glad it's over for all of the people of Iraq who were terrorized for so long....I hope this gives them strength to continue working towards their own freedom and democracy. As much as I support the death penalty, I don't take pleasure in these things.

Amen to that ! Our daily prayers go out to the troops - and the yellow ribbon will be on the mailbox until they all come home safe!

I watched the news of his impending death and can't say I took pleasure in it but I did crack some jokes.
The man was a maniac. He ruled with an iron fist and snuffed out the opposition. He had little regard for life and didn't know the meaning of dignity. But he learned the hard way that the people of his country were stronger than he hoped.

So how long before some stupid Democrat, uses Saddam finally being given the punishment he deserves, as a knock against George W. Bush...
I'm glad he's dead, although I would have rather he died in a AIRSTRIKE...
Now let's hurry up and get working on taking out that psycho that is running IRAN...

if I understand this correctly then the democrats have no say due to the fact the american goverment stayed out of it and let iraq do their own justice, thus handed him over minutes before execution. I could be wrong in this though.
