Fat Albert's Concert...

...I've been watching this most of today.

Occasionally, there's a good act, but I'm so damned sick of being lectured
and preached to by washed-up singers, little kids, tatooed losers, and the
usual suspects I can't enjoy what few good acts actually perform.

I suspected it'd be like this, but it still ticks me off.

Oh-by the way; doesn't "Fat Albert" Gore, Junior look like he's been
wolfin' down a little bit too much good ol' Tennessee bar-b-que; and
washing it down with a few Budweisers???

Yeah it was hilarious how Al gore and his merry band of gents were rambling. Chris Rock was a riot. He was swearing at Wembly it was so funny. Ya know you lose your crede when you can't get Sir Paul Mccarthy and the Who to perform and you have these wash up hill billys like the chilli peppers. I swear in the movie. Algore was somewhat fit now he looks like a blimp. I guess etherige is feeding him that tennesse barbeque. LOL

I'll just forgo the whole thing. They are trying to re-create the interest of live aid. To quote G. H. W. B, aint gonna do it.

I'm slowly watching it on my tivo (doing a LOT of fast-forwarding thru the "messages", "tips", and crappy bands who can't perform live). A while back, they had Petra Nemcova preaching about how she survived the tsunami, and that she wasn't mad at nature, instead she heard nature crying out for help. It was kind of hilarious because the New York concert crowd were basically bouncing a blue beach ball thru her entire speech. It was obvious that nobody there was listening. Those jokers actually think the people there care about the environment. They're just there to see a concert. Please.

Currently, Kelly Clarkson is on, and she's good. She's a good performer and her voice is still awesome live, so props to her.

At this point, I'm just working thru it so I can get the 9 hours off my tivo and watch the Wimbledon men's finals (don't tell me who wins!)

Ummm note to Ms. Nemcova, a Tsunami is caused by an underwater Earthquake, so called "GLOBAL WARMING" has not one iota of an effect....

So nature wasn't crying out, how about you just look hot in magazines and not speak, we will all be better off...

Post Live Earth and Wimbledon, and I have to say that Wimbledon was by far more entertaining and inspirational! No surprise there, of course.
