Who do you want to win the 2008 election?
Who would make a compassionate and caring president? Once again, I state that I am not a democrat nor am I a republican....If I had to see a republican win, I would like to see Rudy get in....for the dems I would hope Hillary....I know I will get bashed for it but who cares....I must say honestly no matter who gets put in office the govt does what it wants to anyway....

Just out of curiosity, what is your definition of a "compassionate and caring" president?

JFK(farther to the right than GW)
FDR(besides destorying the NAZI's, his social programs are strangeling our ability to compete in the modern world)
Lincoln(2nd greatest President behind Ronald Reagan)
Teddy(the perfect environmentalist)

JFK cheated on his wife and was the progenitor to US involvement in the Vietnam war by sending "military advisors" there.
FDR denied due process and imprisoned American citizens of Japanese ancestry. He also nominated Hugo Black, an outspoken racist, to the Supreme Court.
Lincoln suspended Writ of Habeas Corpus without consulting Congress. He also exiled Congressman Clement Vallandigham for sounding too much like today's Ron Paul.
Teddy Roosevelt supported US intervention in Latin America (Roosevelt Corollary) as well as shot defenseless animals for sport.

The only time JFK faced right for anything is to face a woman, other than his wife.
Compassion is conservatism, not very many people realise that these days, but that is an accurate statement, sure as sunshine.
If GWB was doing what FDR did, the liberals in this Country would flip clean out, concentration camps, we have Gitmo, rightly so I might add. In answer to you're question Vamps, Thompson/Huckabee, I dearly hope so and have been letting that be known for sometime. Fred told the Nation the other day. Bodly, I'd overturn Roe/Wade, he also said boldly, that he would institue Federal statutes against same sex marriage. To attack these moraless issues takes courage. More courage than anyone else on the rep. ticket has yet to show.
Conservatives have been hollering for someone to come to the forefront and get in the face of liberalism, well it appears to me that he fits the bill perfectly. Thompson/Huckabee 08, man I hope so.

So, you are a fan of a robust executive branch then, eh?

I don't think Thompson is running as a compassionate conservative, those were two different statements, I think Fred is running as a butt kicking conservative. All do respect, of course.
