I'm not down on her, she just means nothing to my life. Mathgirl is someone that I respect and consider a friend, and the fact that she has given birth to a daughter is much more important that Christina's baby.

I'm sorry, it's not Christina per se, it's that I don't fawn over people that get to be in our face just because of the job they have. They are no better than any of us, it's just because they are chased by people with no life that we have to see so much of them.

What has Christina done for you? I guarantee that my friendship with MG has meant more....

So again, didn't mean to offend, I just don't think she's more important than real people.

LOL. I guess if you had to pick between the two I'll take Christina.

I know this isn't new to most of you but I just recently started to learn how childbirth and pregnancy works. The more I know the more I am thankful to be male. When I was younger I just knew enough to pass biology and thought I knew alot but that childbirths stuff is crazy. I learned today contractions can start like a month before actual delivery. I like to think myself as well read but I cannot believe how much I really didn't know.

You can only truly learn about pregnancy and birthing from real experiences. I can remember the feelings of my daughter moving around, and there was one time while my husband and I were laying in bed. My daughter decided she was going to turn and her knees went across my belly. His arm was on my belly and it freaked him out. It was like you could feel her bones. You should have seen the look on his face. It was a look of Oh! that's gross, and a look of being awe-struck. He said it felt gross, but good all at the same time. I miss those days, and am trying to be able to experience it again.

So true - it's been 20 + years but I still remember the awe at baby's movements and there is nothing more remarkable and grand than giving birth...
