Is Tim Pawlenty the VP?

The more I look into the possible VP's for McCain, the more I like Tim Pawlenty...

What I think is I will lose any respect for the person who attaches themselves to this candidate.

...something about him reminds me of Dan Quayle.

He comes across as nerdy, too.

How good of a campaigner is he if, as an incumbent, he only won
by 1%; less than the total vote of the Green Party.

On the other hand-winning in heavily 'rat Minnesota is to be commended,
and I think that speaks well for him.

Though he has experience in the private sector-it seems he's been a
candidate for one political office or another for most of his life, and worse
still, he's an attorney.

I'm not impressed...

He sounds like a real conservative, which is what McCain needs to try to temper his liberalism.

I haven't been looking at the VP choices, so it's not right for me to say yeah or neigh on him, but he's quite far to the right of McCain.

And I understand what Bat is talking about, but I also have to believe that we NEED someone like this to be in the meetings in order to try to salvage the party.

Either Pawlenty or Thune would be excellent picks... I cringe at the thought of Jindal, Guiliani or Mitt Romulan
