McCain Must Pick A Conservative Veep

Rumors are afoot that McCain is considering Joe Lieberman, Tom Ridge and other R.I.N.O. Republicans as a vice-presidential running-mate. Those would be bad moves as McCain needs the enthusiastic support of conservatives to beat Obama.

Picking any of those would spell defeat for McCain.

US Flag Pro choice??

While I agree a choice like Gov. Jindal from Louisiana, or another well known conservative would be ideal I am not looking for it. I think McCain may well select Liebermann, who is registered ind. now or another pro choice guy like Tom Ridge, by doing this he can court the moderate dem populace that are yet to decide, there are millions of Hillary supporters that have that sour taste of a bitter primary stuck in their throats, I believe he is going after thier vote as well. I think we should prepare for a suspect selection. It is unfortunate, given McCains history of liberal moves it would not surprise me in the least.

The funniest statement I've heard about a potential McCain/Lieberman ticket (I don't remember which pundit said it): ...the duo reminds him of the two old guys on the balcony in the Muppet Show...
I just about fell out of my chair - how funny is that!!

A very understandable comparison.

That would be really interesting....Lieberman being on two different liberal tickets in less than 8 years??? hmmmmm

He would be the first that I can remember to run on a Dem ticket as a Democrat and on a Repub ticket as an independant. I think he may well pick Tom Ridge, while Ridge is pro choice he brings a heck of a resume' for national security, and has executive experience. I am having trouble getting by a pro choice possibility as a runningmate, I suppose it would assist McCain in pulling moderate undecided Democrats and angry Hillary supporters. It is funny how much I am willing to ignore my own standards just to keep Obama out of the Whitehouse.

I am not so willing. One has to let their conscience be their guide.

US Flag Down with Democrats.

I have to admit Armand, no matter who McCain selects, he gets my vote, there is no way, as long as I am among the living they I will ever cast a vote for a registered Democrat, especially Obama, I just cannot do that. As long as the platform they stand on remains as is I will stand opposed, no matter who the gop sends forward.
McCain showed tonight that he does in fact blow Obama out of the water and is a lot more equipped to be President than Barack Obama ever will be. Obama would be a good speech writer. Nothing more.
