Bill Clinton promised the same thing and actually delivered on that campaign promise shutting down military bases from sea to shining sea. At this point in time that is the last thing we need. I am so happy Palin has energized the base and got Americans thinking. Obama simply cannot win. He will be the destruction of us all if he does. His O'Rielly interview he looked everybit as idiotic as he did at Saddleback.

...as you have said again and again yourself, PB (if my recollection serves me right) - it will be a decade or two until GWB will receive credit for the monumental achievements (aka: the defeat of Saddam and - may I call it: "7 years since 9-11-01 without any domestic terror attacks - who would have thought...). Bush/Cheney have the reputation they have thanks to our friends in the media.

I know I keep planting and re-planting that seed. I cannot help it. You know I have seen Presidents get misquoted, so many times. I have seen the Potus & Vpotus treated rudely over the years. They were flat cruel to Quayle. I gotta be honest though, I've never seen anything like the last eight years. It has been unreal, to the point of absolute offense. As a free thinking American citizen I am absolutely offended by the treatment of my President. It is nothing short of treasonous in my eyes. Nixon wasn't treated this bad and they really tarred and feathered Tricky Dick.
They tout adulterers like Kennedy and Clinton, they call them great men. These men were absolute embarassments to the country. Kennedy sleeping with Mafia girlfriends and Clinton having sexual activity with aides 1/2 his age and using the redline for phone sex, but hey the media sais whats wrong with that. No wonder teachers are doing students. Look at thier role models.
Then we have a born again believer of character like Dubya who has liberated over 40 million souls, put nuke inspectors in four differant nations, eliminated the deck of cards, won election when half the country hated his guts and he is laughed at called a moron, an idiot, a murderer by a thankless American public that could not find thier backside with both hands. UB_S I'll most likely keep planting away buddy. For me it is automatic. Alot of times I'll fly right off topic on any given thread and throw it in there. My bad folks.
