I personally don't understand something about the way the media has been talking about Nancy Reagan. Everytime they talk about her they talk about her dignity with how she is handling the situation and not breaking down and crying or anything like that. Why is it ok for hundreds of thousands if not millions of people who didnt even get to shake this man's hand to cry for him but his own wife who didnt leave his side for their whole marriage, she has to show "dignity" or however they want to phrase it. Were people going to look at her differently because she cried at her husbands funeral? The best thing she had in life was just taken away from her, Yes she was strong and brave while every other person in this country was crying, but she had every right in the world to cry or just breakdown.

I don't think they were inferring that she shouldn't, rather that it was unexpected that she didn't.

Maybe it's this one:

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/06/12/politics/12NANC.html

And honest assessment of the First Lady's week that was. Amazing for the Times.

But you may have to register with the NYT. Anal, but free.
