Election Discussion
Well, I just got through voting. There weren't any long lines. There might have been 40 people there altogether. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes.
In 2004, the line was very long. I think I was there for nearly an hour before I actually voted.
We got the new touch screen voting machines. There were extremely easy to use. You could see it printing on to a roll of paper.

I voted early. But I was set on my choice anyway. Even more with Sarah Palin coming on board.

Again, I wish we could all live near each other and meet up somewhere tonight to hang out--for celebration or consolation.... ;o)
In '04 they were predicting crazy lines but we did not wait even one minute, our voting place was empty. I'm hoping for a short wait this year since I'll have the kid with me....I'll be going after work and the news channels were saying between 2 and 5 would be a good time so let's hope they are right!
Hey, if you all are around tonight while watching the coverage we should meet up in the chat room!

I was number 733 at my station at 11:30 today. The workers told me that they did the first 350 by 7:00 this morning... but it was no wait when I went through!
We (in KY) are favored to go with McCain on this election. If he loses, it'll be the first time we've been wrong since JFK.

Going to out to vote right now. But ughh my work at Amazon.com
As most of you all know. I live in lexington,ky. I work at amazon.com at it fullfillment center here in lexington. I don't have to tell you all that the ratio of liberals to conservatives are higher then most places. In other words their are alot of morons thier verses smart people. ANyway this guy came up to me. Asked me who i was going to vote for. I told him point blank. McCain. He seemed happy about it and said alright. Then he walks up to me and says. Why you voting for McCain instead of obama. I said to him I don't like anything that has come out of obamas mouth. He said to me like what for instance. I said this notice of spreading the wealth. It seems like he is taking a marxist idea and making it his own. Of course the guy i was talking to for a few minutes. Went into an lecture about how bush is to blame for the encomy and how mccain won't help us out. At that moment I thought ya know i am not going to get in a heated discussion with this guy. It's pointless. So everything he said thereafter i just shrugged my shoulders and said I don't know. Just to shut him up.
Look I could have went toe to toe with this guy. But i made a promise to myself not to get into it about politics at work. When i know what those people think about me. Does not matter that much. Because I don't hang out with them. I am pretty much nice to them but i don't carter to their needs. Anyway just thought i tell you all. I am off to vote for McCain /palin
hope we win tonight.
