Which brings up one of my beefs about this election and Liberals. It is very clear they worked to effectively nullify my "one vote". The Liberals promotion of registering the same person under different names so the person could vote multiple times is against my rights. The idea that people could actual register to vote based on place of residency being a park bench or their summer and winter homes is non-sense.
The voter fraud has to stop. Especially, when you consider some election victories are coming down to the difference of double digits between candidates. Our election system needs to be fixed and one way to do that is to require a state government issued photo-id to register to vote and to actually vote.

And that is Lenin 101. "The end justifies the means" Continue reading what he said after that "One man with a gun can control 100 without"

Cheat and lie.
Oh yeah, no doubt Rumor, libs are trying to blow personal freedoms right out of the water with thier constant cheating on ballots. Look at what the goings on are in State elections. This has been going on for a while now. The gop asks, why are we losing?? Alot of it is because the left is cheating, big time. They get exposed all the time and people just go on with thier lives, perfectly fine that thier personal freedoms are getting trampeled on. Look at what Franken is trying to do in Minnihaha. Look what happened to Michael Steele a few years back. Just socialisitic rail roading. I'd venture to say Obama cheated his butt off this go round. Accepting private donations after promising he wouldn't. One day they will examine his benefactors, that will be interesting as well. The gop isn't losing elections because of in house dysfunction for the most part, they are losing elections because the national media conspires against conservatism and liberals cheat.
What the gop has to adjust too is Democrats don't care, they have no personal pride, they don't care of the magnitude of the lies they tell, the depths they sink to. The do not care as long as the result is the office itself. They cannot define character, they would feed a diabetic a candy cane. They don't care. This is what the gop has to adapt and adjust to. When they do that, they can formulate a strategy to defeat the scum of liberalism.
In the south they are more loyal to the good ole boy system than they are to thier own morality. They would sell thier own wives to slavery if the ultimate goal of office was met. Democrats have been this way for a long, long, long time. Quite simply they are dirt, they are scum, they reside on the bottom of my shoe, I try and and wipe the dung off on the curb but it just keeps smelling and smelling and won't go away.

As such: The Gay community is welcome to their Civil Unions, but not to "Marriage".

To me marriage is an institution to legitimize children that goes back before christianity. Therefore gays s can't reproduce and christianity has little to do with it to me.

This is another beef that I have with people whining about how Christians are holding it back for them.
The gay community can make their own religion and make their own institutions. I will give credit that the Satanists did that, and they're accepted as legitimate.
If they were prevented from making their own institutions, I could see where the rights issue comes in, but since I haven't heard of the gay community even attempting that, I don't say their rights are violated.
Rights are all-inclusive. Marriage doesn't fit that. It's a societal contract. Even voting has its requirements. I look at voting as a duty. You DO have a right to political freedom and having your voice heard, but there are requirements in voting. No, this does not justify that the government can tamper wtih it.
I think we need to work with our individual communities in cleaning up this garbage. I think one tactic of the Dems since they think in BIG government is that they want the issue to appear so big and bloated that the individual states feel helpless, when really, responsibility starts locally.
My mother and I were talking about government and she said that it represents us less and less. I said, whose fault is that? No one really writes to their representatives and senators anymore. People sit out at local elections, or don't care. If you write/call your congresspeople, at least you did something and something may be done. If you did nothing, then you know nothing will come of it.
Strangely enough, if you look at the states that the Dems took, they kicked out a lot of the longstanding Republicans in REPUBLICAN areas. Obviously, the people were tired of the do-nothing ones. It does go both ways.

A) The bailout shows how little they represent us.
B) Second define how they are suppoded to represent us. Bringing home the bacon was very specifically addressed by the founding fathers as a big no go. Its one state stealing from another. By Jefferson the government already began to grow into what it is today. And I believe Jefferson was the only president to cut government.
This "represents us more or less" idea has been accepted like its a good thing. Government was meant to be viewed "as the problem" by our constitution.
Its replacing the idea of "self-rule" even among Republicans. You see it when we push democracy is the best form of government without really understanding democracy is not much better than socialism. Its still slavery to the government. In democracy its the majority enslaving the minority.

Agreed. We need to hammer this point home to GOP. Along with the idea of returning to Conservative (right) position vs. the current middle-of-the-road (or slight right of center) position.

I will leave the topic out of this discussion, but suffice it to say, I have called, e-mailed, and just today written to my two Senators and my district Representative.
Now, I did NOT mention ( so there was no threatening involved), in my conversations or writings to them that if one of them does not act upon the topic; I plan to do what I can to send him/her packing in the next election cycle. That includes campaigning against him/her, sending his/her donations to another candidate, and voting against him/her. I am fed-up with Senators and Representatives who are to afraid too stand-up and be counted.
If you happen to know or work with a Congress person, let them know they need to start working for us vs. just going along with the herd. Otherwise, they may find themselves out-of-work.

I would agree with you there. Threatening people is just useless. I mean there is a difference between stating the consequence and threatening, and well it's done by people that don't really have any power. Also, it tends to knock people off-topic.
I think self-rule should definitely be encouraged and taught. However, we do have representatives that we have to tend to, that's why we had the issue of the bailout, no drilling, and illegal alien amnesty. I am for limited government, and we do have a representative republic. Basically, I'm all for putting the government in their place for what they're responsible for, not solving all of my problems.

The proof is in the pudding with what Dems have resorted to since the 92 elections.
They have lied and cheated there way to power. One of the most hienous lies put out this time around was the message Obama sent out to Hispanics concerning McCain, it was the opposite of what the Arizona senator stands for.
They dodged phantom bullets in Bosnia, they put out falsehoods on the year they were born.
They lied about Gramma.
They injected race when it was not a factor.
They blamed Bush and McCain for the financial collapse of the housing industry when this was clearly the fault of Dems on the hill and Bill Clinton.
Thier hit record is one of infamy.
