The Tea Bag Revolt...
I wasn't to sure where to put this ,so I chose this part of the board...
For some time since January 20th, discussions have been held among members of the Conservative Policy Roundtable (a private citizen’s think tank) dealing with an issue dear to the hearts of many ordinary, everyday Conservative American Citizens; what can we do about the direction in which this Nation is being taken?
When an announcer on, of all channels, CNBC launched into a tirade on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade about the need for another “Boston Tea Party”, we had our answer. We will strive to bring forth from people all across this Great Nation an out-pouring of dried-out used tea bags which will be mailed, one per envelope, to at least each of the following officials;
Nancy Pelosi
Office of the Speaker
H-232, US Capitol
Washington, DC 20515
Senator Harry Reid
522 HART SENATE OFFICE BUILDING
WASHINGTON DC 20510
President of the United States
1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW
Washington, DC 20500
Our intent is that concerned citizens all across this Great Nation will contact their local and National conservative public personalities on radio and television to help spread this idea and its intent far and wide. Internet blogs should also be used to further disseminate this idea with the goal being to put Washington on notice that “we, the people” are already fed up with our being forced down the primrose path toward National Socialism. A date for this subtle but oh, so potentially meaningful protest to occur has been set; on or about April 15th, 2009.
Any and all assistance with the dissemination of this information will be deeply appreciated as will your participation in “The Tea Bag Revolt”.
The Original Conservative Policy Roundtable.

Good post. Thanks for bringing the formal protest to everyone's attention.
I will likely send "new" tea bags. I have some concerns about Big-Bro going after senders for mailing possible "Bio Hazards". With this bunch of Libs, I would not rule anything out at this point.

You know maybe even sending them a "new" tea bag may not be a good idea.. Somehow, I feel like they will find a way of twisting it and saying we are sending poisonous hazards in the mail..

Just send them semi truck loads full of used tea bags !!!!!
Dump them all in front of their office doors, and fill their jets full of them!
Maybe dump a few million tea bags on Pelosi's front yard ....
Should we go on with the multitude of possibilites?

I think it's an awesome idea - if this gets publicity through the conservative network (aka Rush etc) we could have a real PR nightmare for the Dems...
Like: send them all on the same day... postal service might be really busy that day...
I'd send 1 new teabag per person in a regular mail envelope through US mail. (I would think it's considered legal and o k to mail as long as there is the label on the bag indicating the contents)

I am now thinking about sending them each one Tea bag a day for several weeks. I still like the idea of used Tea bags. So I am thinking I will soak a batch of them in water, then dry them out. No bio-hazard that way and they get useless nasty looking Tea bags.

How about soaking the used dry tea bags in something that has a foul smell .... like say one of the incoming raw tanks at the local sewage treatment plant, at least that way you can tell the left that you are being green by not being 'wasteful"!
