Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney feel that it is time to leave Reagan behind.

Personally, I believe that, like a stream, we must stay true to our values while altering our course.
I am seeing a growing discontent with how the current administration is handling the economy and even more from the recent labeling of Christians and veterans as potential terrorists.
I dont believe that conservatism is dead. What I feel we should do is strengthen our stand on fiscal responsibility, adhering to the Constitution and keeping our military strong while softening, but not giving up, on homosexuality and abortion.
We should defend traditional marriage but at least allow the little buggers in the homosexual community fair access to health care and end job discrimination. Unless they are doing something inappropriate (such as being caught having sex on the job, lying, stealing, etc) let their private lives be private.
On abortion, we should not give this up but we should allow for sex education to continue (including teaching of abstinence and condoms) and tell more about alternatives to abortion -- such as adoption.
Anyway, these are just some thoughts.
