In fairness to Mr. Obama, his speech was designed to "reach out" to the Muslims he was addressing, so it is only natural Mr. Obama would use wording or phrases, Muslims would relate too. I would expect other Presidents would do the same if they were trying first with diplomacy.
As for picking wording or phrases that also have a call for Jihad, aggression, or violent meaning/passages associated with them; well you kind of have to expect (
not accept) "good" with the "bad" when dealing with the "Religion of Peace", since it was created by a human War-Lord.
Overall, this is the real issue to me about Mr. Obama:
