Obama To Speak At Gettysburg?

One town is already banking on President Obama's re-election: Gettysburg, Pa. Looking ahead to July 2013, organizers of the150th anniversary of the decisive three-day clash between Union and Confederate forces have extended an invitation for Obama to deliver his own Gettysburg address, we hear. "That would be really cool," says Gettysburg Convention and Visitors Bureau President Norris Flowers. "I expect that."

I know that Barack Obama is considered by our overlords to be the most eloquent president in the history of the presidencies, but the thought of him up against the 278 words of Abraham Lincoln's address actually fills me with disgust. Our sixteenth president, dealing with a real crisis, was able to convey in a few words all of the honor and respect we hold for those who had given their lives in war. What will Obama do with the opportunity? A black man directly affected by the actions that happened on that field over a few days in July of 1863? God help me, I can see him delivering the equivalent of "God Damn America."

The more we see of Obama the less we come to trust that he loves the country as it is, and like most liberals, seems to love a country that exists only in their fevered imaginations - that country to be if only we submitted to the philosopher king and his minions.

As someone just pointed out elsewhere, he actually does have some similarities with Lincoln. Both men are from Illinois, and if Obama continues down the current path, both will lead in a time of Civil War.

The guy is a teleprompter reader ... did you see how eloquent he was when Bret interviewed him yesterday? Stammering and stuttering ...

When he delivers a prepared speech he practices and delivers it fairly smoothly, although he uses to many catch phrases, which betrays his lack of true spontaneous eloquence.

When it comes to true eloquence, Obama couldn't tie Ronald Reagan's shoe laces. (to steal a phrase from John the Baptist).

Only a sycophant would think Obama is eloquent. He is duplicitous and it shows in his orations.
