CNN's Feyerick Plays Hardball With Ground Zero Mosque Developer

On Wednesday's Newsroom, CNN correspondent Deborah Feyerick refreshingly asked the developer behind the planned mosque near Ground Zero many hard questions. Feyerick bluntly asked Sharif el-Gamel, "Why not have a prayer space for Buddhists or Jews or Christians...why must it be Muslim?" The correspondent even brought up how one of the landing gear of one of the planes ended up on the site of the planned mosque.

FEYERICK (voice-over): El-Gamel says many people don't understand Islam. But does that make it Islamophobia?

EL-GAMEL: One hundred percent.

FEYERICK (on-camera): Why?

EL-GAMEL: Because the moderate voice of Islam is not coming out.

FEYERICK: Can you guarantee that this center will root out extremism or completely reject any extremists that try to get into it?

EL-GAMEL: One hundred percent- we will not tolerate extremism. We will not tolerate extremism.

FEYERICK (voice-over): And yet, critics say the religious leader, Iman Faisal Abdul Rauf, has links to groups that support terror.

EL-GAMEL: Imam Faisal is one of the most moderate Muslims that exists in this country today.

And there is the Clintonesque speak. There are far worse Religion of Peacers in the World, and there are worse Religion of Peacers in the U.S. A "moderate Muslim" is one that won't blow himself up, just to murder others. But has no problems promoting such in others...

As for "EL-GAMEL's" claim they "will not tolerate extremism"; of course they won't in their proposed Mosque, because that would bring unwanted attention to their behind the scenes activities.

That a situation like this could even exist in our country is utter madness!

This is a CHRISTIAN nation!

I don't care what Time says, I don't care what Obozo says, to blazes with the muslims. If they want to practice their deviant religion, they can do so quietly and not be bothered, but if they want to push it like it is a respectable belief, that flies in the face of Christ - and I don't accept it.

Here is a little counter thought for "Religion of Peacers" pushing for their mosque near our ground zero of the former Twin Towers in NYC.

How about we put a Christian Church with a massive 200 foot tall Cross next to their Religious site; the Black Stone of Kaaba (Mecca) {Makkah} in Saudi Arabia...

Can't wait to see how they feel about that.


One thing is clear, their pushing for the Mosque has absolutely nothing to do with moving forward, healing, or good will. This is all about rubbing our faces in their violent and hate filled political ideology.

If this were about moving forward, healing, or good will, they would have offered to help build and fund both a Christian Church and a non-denominational Center of Prayer dedicated to all the religions of everyone murdered on 9/11.
