If he ever was, I bet he isn't anymore. Assuming he talked himself into believing his own defense story, that is...Republican jurors would never have gone for the "race card" his lawyers played. Then again, maybe he's laughing at how stupid they were to buy that hokum....

Do you know why athletes are historically Republican? Because they do not want Democrat taking their money away.
What I find most amusing is that all of the liberals supporting Flipper and the Silk Pony are in favor of tax increases, but yet they have all found ways to shelter their incomes from tax increases!
Assuming OJ is a Republican, by the way, then his jury was not a jury of his peers!

True 2112, you never said that Libs are indecent. I take that back.
Just open up an issue of entertainment weekly, put your finger on a random page, and you'll probably find a celeb who supports Kerry. My point was thatÂ*reason alone might qualify them as a "jerk" in your book.
I wince when I hear Liberal celebrities call President Bush a thug or a murderer. But it's not like I didn't have to hear equal and worse things shrieked bout the anti-christ from Arkansas for eight years. I found myself having to defend a mysoginistic, pseudo-liberal simply because I didn't think he was a serial killer rapist.
All this talk of treason for insulting the President wouldn't ring so hollow if I had been in a coma throughout the 90s.

Oh and by the way, I still want to know why my favorite Republican was left off the list.
Is Clint not a Republican?
By the way Hane, Bobby D. along with being a wonderful actor, was no fan of Clintons. I don't know about his politics but he didn't care for the man and made no attempts to hide it. Maybe all the best actors are cons!

Hi Sonny
What can I say about Clint? These days he claims to be a "libertarian". From comments I have heard from him of late, that's a canard. But he is certainly entitled to make choices for himself. I still have my autographed Unforgiven movie poster hanging up here at the house.
Bobby D leans so far left he could be the leaning tower of Soho. Doesn't make a difference to me as long as he keeps it civil. As a New Yorker, I would hope the events of 9/11 opened his eyes somewhat. His restaurant Nobu in Soho wasn't very busy for some time after 9/11.
For weeks afterward, the stench of 9/11 filled the air here. Maybe you can't understand why I am so adamant. I guess some things don't translate well or you had to be here to comprehend. I will never wain in my support of President Bush nor do I think invading Iraq was the wrong choice. 9/11 changed me forever.

Don't forget Patricia Heaton of 'Everybody Loves Raymond' fame. She is a board member (or maybe president?) of 'Feminists For Life', an pro-life group. She is also much outspoken on conservative issues.
She is also supremely lovely:

Sonny in reply to your post. If an actor/comedian/musician wants to have an INTELLIGENT conversation/ or speech about Bush then I would be happy to hear it. If they have facts that can back it up then I'd love to listen. BUT when they say things that are stupid, have no factual evidence behind it and think that simply because of their fame status that it is credible then that annoys me. I am not at all saying that a Republican Actor/comedian/musician hasn't done this, but I don't *think* it has been done to the degree that it has been happening as of late. Also, most of these people speaking out against Bush all have no careers left, and are doing it to try and get MONEY. Well you know what, It's my money and if I don't want to give it to Ben Afleck then that is my choice.
I just feel that when it comes to money that is the only language these famous people know, so if they want to talk like idiots against our President then I will go back at them with what they know, taking money out of their pockets.

Celebs are rich. Their political affiliations are almost always skewed by there need to hold on to all of their money no matter what, so many are Republicans. The liberal ones just raise more hell I guess.
