OK, this is the kind of stuff about the Republican Party that pisses me off...

Talk radio is your friend; don't take it for granted...

Come on NRCC, get real...

WASHINGTON -- In a complaint to the Federal Elections Commission, the National Republican Campaign Committee accused radio station KFI-AM (640) co-hosts John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou of "criminal behavior" for attacking Rep. David Dreier, R-Glendora, and endorsing his Democratic opponent, Cynthia Matthews.

I've been following the John and Ken Show for several months now.

In many ways, they do good work. They brought down Governor Low Beam in the Recall election.

They are pissed off because neither political party will address the issue of illegal immigration here in Southern California, and "we the people" of Southern California are bearing the burden.

They decided to focus on a Democrat and a Republican in the House in order to see if they could get them kicked out of office and make a difference in raising the issue to a priority.

Unfortunately for Dreier, he has handled their radio show poorly.

He hid from them for months while they were interviewing all other Southern California representatives.

When Dreier realized that John and Ken were making in-roads into Dreier's safe district through their radio program, Dreier then purchased radio ads on KFI, rather than going on their show and explaining himself.

Additionally, the LA Weekly (a left wing scandal sheet) came out with a full blown article suggesting that Dreier is gay, in order to suggest to his Republican constituency that he does not walk the talk.

Dreier, of course, has a right to whatever personal life he wants, and he has never made it an issue, although I suspect he is probably gay (his long time travel campanion is his Chief of Staff).

At the end of the day, the John and Ken issue will backfire on John and Ken because of the safe district that Dreier is in, however, Dreier could have handled the issue much, much better.

Yea, you're right about Drier getting re-elected. I stream KFI a lot, and I liked their idea about the Political Human Scarifice; actually holding politicians accountable.

But I am beside myself that the Republicans would pull this kind of stunt going after John and Ken. If they don't realize that talk radio is almost a 24-hour Bush endorsement, then they really are taking it for granted.

They're painting themselves into a corner, especially if the phrase "Fairness Doctrine" comes up. They should just shut up and stop acting like babies.
