Thumbs up

I just wished to express how proud I am of Michael Reagan. He has taken on a tough personal challenge speaking against "Ron".
This definitely confirms to me that the Reagan Legacy does continue.
It can't be easy to set yourself up for more family controversy. Especially now , so soon after his fathers death. His values are deep rooted and his father I know is proud.
A few short weeks ago Ron stated that his father believed in speaking your mind. His father would be proud of him standing up for his beliefs.
I don't believe for a moment that his father would be so proud of his Bush bashing and his methods used to spread such hate and disrespect toward the office of the President.
In Ron's eulogy honoring his father the one thing I will always remember is his reference of our President being a true gentleman. He was so correct using this word to describe him. This is definitely the one word that will never be used to describe Ron Reagan Jr.

Betsy, I wholeheartdly agree with you in re: to Michael Reagan. My only disappointment is that he will not be speaking at the RNC. We need him there. He is truly his father's son, even though there is no blood connection. I will never forget him at the funeral and how utterly heartbroken he looked. I believe the president and he shared the closest of father-son relationships at the end of his life and I hope Michael will continue to take a stand for what he knows to be right and true. May God give him strength.

Roli , I was listening to him on the Sean Hannity show yesterday when asked if he would consider speaking at the RNC he said of course he would love to and it would be an honor. I e-mailed the Bush Cheney web site with my request fir him to speak the night his father is honored at the convention. It was clear he had not been asked. These were words straight from him.
We should set up a campaign through this web site to request his presence and to hear him speak in honor of his father and his loyalty to the Republican Party.
His presence is an important statement in this election. At least in the right direction representing our dear President.

Amen to that. Someone on the forum yesterday said he was not speaking, hence my comment. I would be very happy to be part of that campaign. His voice would be a very great asset to the RNC and our party in general. The American people deserve to hear words that Gipper inspired. God bless the great Ronald Reagan. And another thing...why is everyone calling Ron Reagan Ron Reagan, Jr.? He is not Jr. as his middle name is Prescott, not Wilson.

Roli, it was me who said he wouldn't be speaking. I think it was Hannity who said it (about a week ago), very distinctly too saying: "Everyone wants Micheal Reagan to speak but there is NO CHANCE he will speak." Hence my comments yesterday but hopefully he will.

We had a Reagan President and then a Bush, now we have the Bush so I saw after that WE NEED MICHAEL.

I do know that he said that he is interested in speaking. I emailed the Bush Cheney campaign web site.
Not sure if that is the right place to be heard ?
I feel that it is important that we voice our interest.
Michael should at least be approached and then the details can be worked out from there. He can decide to what extent he wishes to be involved. It would be a disgrace not extending an offer to speak especially when they are planning to honor his father at one point through the week.
Michael has taken a bold step voicing his feelings about Ron Jr. and his DNC speech.
The least we can do is show our appreciation of his dedication to clarify the issue of stem cell research and his pride carrying on the Reagan name.
Who cares if anyone thinks that the Republicans are asking Michael because Ron spoke at the Democratic Convention ?
That is not the reason and if Michael believes it would be an honor to speak then we should be overwhelmed with his presence there.
It's time even the Republicans get back to the basics of Reaganomics.
The entire family should be extended a special invitation ! Each of them can handle their own decision on attending.
