OK, Euthanasia is less divided on political lines than many other subjects. I happen to be against it, but I wouldn't be surprised if some are for it.

You left off the choice of "Only if performed by self".

You want to end your life, do it yourself, but don't take my "Healthcare" providers, who have pledged to "Do No Harm" and make them party to it.

Start your own "Practitioner of Death" college if you must, but don't put this on Doctors.

If a state makes this allowable by law, then a part of that law must be to have citizens state their desire up front.

So, when you vote, if passed, you go to vote one more time and your choice is:

1. Kill me
2. Don't Kill Me

No more wondering if they want to die or not, make it be stated up front in clear terms.

I think it goes to individual situations according to individuals. Those wishes should also be stated clearly as well.

This is one thing that ought to be kept quiet and dealt with between patients and doctors in private, IMHO. Yeah, I am against it in principle, but I have never been in terrible pain for an extended period of time.

I used to think Euthanasia was "Youth in Asia" and had to do with Asians killing their children.

I didn't know about Euthanasia until I was introduced to it in my Social Issues of the 21st Century class in the 12th grade. Plus, with Terri Schiavo the meaning of Euthanasia should be clear to many more people now.
