After listening to all the debates, I perceive John Kerry as a used car salesman.

A accomplished speaker, Kerry spewed a steady stream of verbal garbage as why you should buy his policies. Just as a car salesman spews generally the same garbage as why you should buy his used car. He was too accomplished to believe.

To John Kerry, the president screwed up every day he was in office. Boy, we were lucky to survive the last four years.

I don't believe he swayed any undecided voters because he was just so unbelievable with his smooth rhetoric.

No, John Kerry, I don't think I want to buy your used car.

My younger brother (yes another brother who WAS a liberal) said the same thing last night while watching the debate last night. For a long time all he (my baby brother)would do was spew hatred toward Bush. He was one of the many in my family who bought the "Bush stole the election" bit. I didn't think I could sway him to Bush so I really didn't try. So I decided to invite him over to "have dinner" What he didn't know was that I was going to be watching the debate. So each time Kerry would start out with I have a "plan" My brother would get let down because he wouldn't state what the "plan" was. He said it was like a salesman saying oh and with this car you will need to purchase the blah blah plan. He says that he is so angry that he may not vote, so now I have my work cut out for me. Man this election year is (as Bush would say) "hard work"

Something I heard on Fox & Friends this morning:

If you were making a movie and needed to hire an actor to portray a presidential character, which of the two candidates in this presidential debate would you hire?

I thought they both did a nice job last night. The debates were very useful in my opinion. As this is a re-election campaign, it really should be a referendum about the incumbent. If you are happy with the current state of things, then your choice is simple. If you aren't, you really need to see if the other guy is worthy of being President.

I think Kerry did a nice job of that and the polls tightened up as a result. Still looks like Bush has an advantage albeit narrow. Whoever turns out the voters will win on November 2nd.

Is Kerry worthy of being President?

When I consider his behavior in 1970/71, no.
When I consider his voting record, no.
When I consider his how he tries to be on both sides of every issue (see second debate as an example), no.
When I consider his obviously hollow promises, no.
When I consider his socialist tendencies, no.
