I first would like to start out Mrs. Reagan by saying you and Pres. Reagan are in our prayers. I have read an article about how lonely you are. Well about 4 - 5 months ago we lost my Father-in-law to over 10 years with Alzheimer's. We have all been there especially my Mother-in-law who was his caretaker until the end. I love Pearl (MiL) very much and I'm sure she would be writing this to you also. If you would like to talk by e-mail to my mil for someone to talk to I'm sure she would listen. She is a lovely Christian women and has raised 4 wonderful sons with her husband.
This disease really is lousy and we pray that God gives you the patience while taking care of your husband and we pray that when it is time for Pres. to go up to heaven with his Heavenly Father, that you will know that he will have no more problems, he will rest in peace knowing his wife, children, grandchildren. He'll be able to walk again, talk again. The best thing that has come out of this for our own family is that our 4 year old prays for him every night and knows that Grandpa feels no pain, and can talk and walk again without Daddy's help. I have been married to my husband, Tom for 8 years now and we have 3 little girls, 6,4,and 3. You will be in our prayers at night while we sit by the bedside at bedtime. Even though they do not know Pres. Reagan and his wife Mrs. Reagan, be sure to know that a mommy, a daddy, and 3 little girls are praying for you.
