Our Nation celebrates the life
Of one great man who gave himself
To lead us from the shadows gray
Into a brighter, better way.
His Nancy simply called him "Ronnie,"
Now he's Home, his final journey!
They called him "Dutch" while just a boy
Living in Dixon, Illinois,
Who could ever dream that he
Our President would someday be?
His Nancy simply called him "Ronnie,"
Now he's Home, his final journey!
His first big stop was "Hollywood,"
A movie star, but then who could
Ever look ahead and see
That he our President would be?
His Nancy simply called him "Ronnie,"
Now he's Home, his final journey!
When he became the Governor
Of California, there likely were
Just a few that could foresee
That he our President would be.
His Nancy simply called him "Ronnie,"
Now he's Home, his final journey!
As President, he did right well,
In leadership he did excel,
His famous line, "Tear down this wall"
Was followed by its historic fall!
His Nancy simply called him "Ronnie,"
Now he's Home, his final journey!
So now, we pray that millions will
Behold his "shining city on a hill,"
And in our hearts and minds renew
"In God we trust" our motto true!
His Nancy simply called him "Ronnie,"
Now he's Home, his final journey!

President Reagan.

America's Fortieth President
Lived to be ninety-three
His memory will be permanent
Throughout his beloved country

President Ronald Wilson Reagan
A warm humanitarian for sure
Will we ever see again
A leader of his stature

Known as the 'Great Communicator'
He once traveled to County Mayo
Now he is with his Creator
Watching over us here below.
