After having viewed the "Capital Fourth" on PBS last night I must say how disappointed I was in the whole production. The programming was appalling. Robin Gibb singing "Jive Talkin"? And a tribute to Hollywood? And almost a half hour spent on eulogizing Ray Charles? Some performers actually sang patriotic songs however the fact that Ronald Reagan was not even mentioned once was terribly disappointing to me. I made a point of watching some of the other programs on other stations and I saw NO tributes to our beloved modern day patriot. Anyone out there, please correct me if I am wrong. This was a travesty and I suppose just another way for the liberals to be front and center and make a statement. I don't think it would have been partisan in any way to honor RR...he was OUR PRESIDENT for goodness sake. I am just so sad about the whole thing, sad for our country. I pray for the election this year...we must stay the course and fight to stay in the White House. God bless America and God bless Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush.
