OK, serious topid here. I have told ALL employers from 1993 on that I will leave work within 2 hours of hearing of THE President's death. I never got to vote for the greatest American Hero of our time. However, I can still honor him at some point.
I have read of the stories of people going to JFK's funeral from 1500 miles away. I will beat that. I will come from Oklahoma with 2 hours notice. I WILL be threre to pay my respects to the man.
Seriously, what will they do? What is the protocall? I watched as Nixon was driven in upstate NY. I will be there when they lay him in state.
(I am not trying to be morbid, just asking a serious question. What will be the procedure. Nixon only lay in state for 24 hours or so. Can they do the same thing to the "Man"?
