The View (ABC) is honoring Barbara Walters today for her 25 years at 20/20 and one of the questions that was posed was her Presidential interviews. She has interviewed every President and First Lady since President Nixon but when asked of her most memorable she recalled her Thanksgiving 1981 visit with President Reagan at Rancho del Cielo as being the most memorable. She said he was the most down to earth President of our time. Her eyes were welled up with tears as she continued to speak fondly of him. It was a very touching moment for me.

I didn't get to see this today, wish I had. I believe Barbara is a caring person. I'll never forget the time I wrote about her coverage of President Reagans, "Inauguration".

I saw it too Melissa. My eyes welled up with tears as well.
What a great clip of him driving his jeep and the beautiful land he loved. Of course hearing him speak in an interview I had never heard touched my heart and made me smile.
President Reagan always will have a magic way of
inspiring us...

Betsy J.,
I couldn't agree more. Anytime I see an old interview or movie Reagan had stared in.............I just can't help but get a bit misty-eyed followed by a huge smile on my face.

Ronald Reagan was truly an inspiration to us all
