<h2><font color=#003399>Huge Corn Field Maze Honors Former President Reagan</font></h2>
<embed src="http://63.236.64.8/Week/040813maze.wmv" autostart="true" hidden="false" loop="false" align=right></embed>Todd Uhlman of Pekin topped them all: He designed a corn maze in his backyard.
The public will get a chance to walk through Uhlman's 15-acre corn maze constructed in the shape of former President Ronald Reagan's head on Sept. 10.
Herbst owns Spanish Fork, Utah-based The MAiZE, the largest corn maze designing company in the country.
While Uhlman didn't know who would be the subject of honor next year, he did say he planned a series of famous Illinois residents for future mazes.
Uhlman then walks the entire maze putting flags every few feet at each plot point.
The next step is going through and mowing down the corn.
Uhlman began constructing the Ronald Reagan corn maze on June 21.
It's largely finished, but there are a few minor things left to touch up, including eliminating places where people can cheat their way through the maze.
Interestingly, Uhlman doesn't see his creation from the air until it is totally complete.
"Every year, I worry I'll go up and see that it's completely wrong," Uhlman said.
This year, Uhlman is hoping that Reagan will help him reach 10,000 by Oct. 31 when the maze closes.
